rottingeggos Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I have a ton of sliders that are now acting odd since the werewolf updates + patches. At first they worked just fine, then they only seemed to work when I was creating brand new sims (even though i always use the cas.fulleditmode cheat because im constantly changing how my sims look-) so i did another test and started an entirely new sims game and the sliders wouldn't work either. returned to my current world and created a new family and now the sliders are broken for them, too. I also seem to be unable to find a lot of my sliders, as if they've upped and deleted themselves. Unfortunately since I use so many damn sliders I lost the names of some of them, but I remember the functions. One of the sliders I used consistently you could use by moving the abdomen up for bigger chest and down for fatty/moob like (this was a male slider) The other was a mixture of sliders in one; you could move the neck up and down from profile view, you could make the neck have a double chin or not from the bottom of the neck and you could add in an Adams apple from the other side of the head. all my other sliders are facial ones by obscurus and the Luumia ones like the waist slider. anyway onto my question before i get distracted- i was told by a user on reddit that with sims 4 studio there is a fix at the bottom this one. whenever i click on it, it simply says that there are no fixes needed. the other one is for hair, typically alpha which i have no issues with. currently it is just sliders. i've tried it countless times but it just doesn't seem to make any changes. i might be doing it wrong but im unsure if there is another way to do it?
VenusN Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Cmar realeased a tool on MTS to update slider. Try that one maybe ?

I assumed that was the one I had since it says sliders fix (werewolf patch). but i'll look back into S4S just to see if i've maybe still got an outdated version. EDIT: after re-installing it a couple of times and many times it saying nothing needed to be fixed, the fourth time on re-installing S4S and using the slider fix it finally worked. Glad I can get back to making my sims again. thank you Edited July 11, 2022 by rottingeggos 1

I did the same thing, S4S says that fixed the sliders but It didn't work with mine (HFO_TS4ChestDepthWidthFemale and redheadsims-ts4-BreastAlterationSlider) Can you tell me which sliders are you using? Thanks! Edited July 13, 2022 by TonyLogan Corrected typing errors

It's a bit like like having duplicate sliders. I'd try testing using only one.

My suggestion was for you to try as I have no problems with sliders. Haven't updated my game yet and I don't use any body sliders except for Cmars Breast Separation Slider which has been updated for the last game patch. I find just using the EA vanilla CAS body sliders to be good enough for me.

LilithD. Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Hey everyone, I'm having the weirdest problem in cas too... When creating all the women, they are all appear the skinniest possible, then they get fat as soon as i use the sliders for fattening or thinning. I am able to use the sliders but it only sheds off a tiny bit of weight looking pretty much the same to me. I do not like the "anorexic" look, that makes the women look like men to me personally. HELP! My sliders are in attachment. teanmoonMouthScaleSliderFORALLIndecisiveSims.package LUUMIA_mod_EarUpDownSlider_UpdateJune2022.package LUUMIA_mod_NeckHeightSlider_UpdateJune2022.package Ice-CreamForBreakfast_TS4AUNoseTipSliderUpdated.package Ice-CreamForBreakfast_TS4FeetWidthSliderUpdated.package Ice-CreamForBreakfast_TS4LipUpSliderUpdated.package Ice-CreamForBreakfast_TS4ShoulderSlidersUpdated.package Ice-CreamForBreakfast_TS4TorsoHipsHeightSliderUpdated.package LUUMIA_mod_EarUpDownSlider_UpdateJune2022 3.package cmar_BreastSeparationSliderV4.package cmar_EnhancedButtSlidersV3.package

HELP! My sliders are in attachment. You might have a default body preset installed as the game usually creates mostly chunky women with a few exceptions. In CAS you click on your Sims Body and see the two main vanilla sliders on the left and these are all you really need for adjusting the basic size and muscles. Right Slider is for Weight and Left is for Muscles. You can then just drag certain areas to fine tune them without using any CC Sliders at all. Think you should try removing them and test with just the games vanilla sliders to see how they work before using any CC sliders as I find them to be good enough. I only use some CC facial sliders for certain detail adjustments. Keep in mind the game mechanics will add weight to Sims over time unless you make them swim, jog, etc. Obviously you can't do much about NPC's as you can't control them unless you use a Mod. No Fat/No Muscle gain/loss Mod prevents the game from changing their sizes but you can still change them in CAS. https://modthesims.info/d/534028/no-fatness-no-muscles.html This is the only Mod I know of that has to be installed as zip files and do not extract them first. MCCC errors from other issues might complain about zip files installed but just ignore them. It's old but still works for game version 1.88 but no idea about the Werewolves patch.
LilithD. Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Thank you Scorpio! The thing is... my main two vanilla sliders aren't working. As soon as I try to move it ( add weight or remove) they do absolutely nothing. As soon as i put clothing on, it adds extreme fat. All my sims look extremely obese.

Then for sure you have a broken Mod or CC installed. Start a new game save with all your Mods/CC removed except Wicked + Animations. (Then you won't mess up your original save) Delete your local thumbcache.pkg before starting a new game. After testing is confirmed OK then you can start adding Mods/CC back into game a few at a time. Then check to make sure the vanilla CAS sliders are still working. Or you could try the 50/50 mod removal method to narrow it down a bit Find the bad half that's causing it and then cut them 50% again. I make new folders on my desktop named 'Testing' and 'Tested Good' Easier to move files around once you test a batch and if OK then move them into 'Tested Good'. It helps a great deal if you have all your Mods/CC organized by Category or the Mods names folders. Example: Mods/CC Body Parts Mods/CC Clothing Mods/CC Hairstyles Mods/CC Makeup Mods/CC Skin Overlays Mods/CC Sliders Mods/MCCC Mods/Wicked Animations Mods/WickedWhimsMod Mods/Wicked Toys and Objects etc.
