wolfwalker Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I have a glitch where the head of NPC's head completely change skin tone from the body and was wondering if anyone could help me fix it. It happens to other races as well like the orcs and argonians, this is just by far the most noticeable and obviously stupid and distracting
unsocialbttrfly85 Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) hmmm, that usually happens when you have mods fighting to change the same skin texture, mesh, facegen, etc, (happened to me with Kaidan when i had 2 replacers active at the same time, lol) . just make sure you don't have another mod changing the skin texture/mesh, etc. Some fixes are 1) removing one of the mods, 2) have one overwrite the other, or 3) use Face Discoloration Fix at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) with the caveat being that it should fix the discoloration but you still need to deal with the incompatibility Edited July 10, 2022 by unsocialbttrfly85
Grey Cloud Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Which NPC overhaul are you using? They look very vanilla so which skin texture are you using?
wolfwalker Posted July 24, 2022 Author Posted July 24, 2022 Literally just CBBE, Ive downloaded the "patch" which didn't fix it, I only have the one texture replacement mod as far as I can tell, I just resigned myself to staying out of white run so I don't have to look at her lol
bnub345 Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 You have a mismatch between what the esp thinks the NPC face should have and what the facegen nif actually has. Likely you have some NPC replacer mod that changes Olfina and then another mod that makes edits to her base causing problems. You can check in SSEEdit, look for the NPC with the formID 00013b9b. There should also be a facegen .nif file in the directory meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\Skyrim.esm\00013b9b.nif. You want the head parts from this nif to match up with the head parts listed in the esp.
