echo789 Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Hi, I have been trying to start my sims game for several days, but it loads and then shuts down without me even getting a chance to play. I used Sims 4 Tray Importer to check what was wrong and it said some of a clothing creators work from this website had a discrepancy. The specific creator is LanXuAnbaby. I just downloaded sims so I am on the most recent patch update :(. What I did: I removed those files and restarted my game. It runs now. I love his artwork though. I know on his website he says he only updates when he feels like it. Is there a way to update clothing mods on our own? Online it is not very helpful as it just says "ask the content creator." I would prefer learning how to do it myself, as this is not going to be the last update and clothes make the personality of your sim. I would not upload this work on my own - just use it for myself.

Many items were broken with the last game patch like skins, sliders, body parts, body presets, etc., so downloading any Sims could have problems especially older ones that haven't been updated.

So is there a way to fix the broken items? I mean it's kind of sad that we have to sit around twiddling our thumbs waiting for other people to do the work. I'm at least willing to try by myself, but I am completely lost where to start - especially if it is content made by someone else. Also, is there a list of things that got broken after the last update on loverslab.? It would be so convenient if there was one because there are already lists compiled by other users such as on the sims forum. However, those are PG-13.
