things you do, that others do not understand (non sexual)

So, are there things, that you do or have done, that others would not understand or even might call you crazy for? But for you, it totally makes sense and there is nothing to worry about? :D

I'll give you an example...

I am into RC cars. So, there was this new RC car released, on June 24th. But the stores are not allowed to ship them unitl July 8th (for reasons I do no know, but it is, what it is). But they were/are allowed to sell them in there stores. Like, the old school way, you go there and say "I'll take this" - not like just clicking some button on the internet and wait, until the shippment arrives at your front door - lol.

So... what did I do? I drove 380km to the shop, to buy a 800€ RC car and drive back 380km - in one sitting.
If I just had waited, the shipping costs would even be free. But no, I had to stay one day off of work, spend a whole day sitting in my car, spending 75€ on fuel and 15€ on a subway sandwich (in a gas station) - because I could not wait for another 2 weeks... :D

(I know, for Americans here, these (total) 760km do not seem that far, but for Europeans, it's quite a distance :D and with fuel prices beyond 2€ per litre even more crazy)

so, I guess, this is the kind of thing, that many people will not understand and even think, that I am crazy (some kind of)

Do you guys have stories like this?

I used to live in a small country town in Australia's Northern Territory. Alice Springs.

My job at the time was government, Motor Vehicle Registry (DMV for you yankees).

Occasionally I had to travel 480km to Yulara (Ayres Rock - Uluru) to man the office we have in the Police station. It's like an agency, the full time staff member gets annual vacation etc.

This one time, I was there for an entire week, Driving home on the friday afternoon that time, I fuelled up at a service station called Erldunda which is exactly 200km from Alice Springs. Then looking at my watch (it was 3pm) I realised it meant that as I got close to Alice Springs I would be passing the turn off (intersection) to Pine Gap (US/Aus joint defence base - top secret communications base - one of the places that is critical to the US nuclear defence network and critical for military global comms) Pine Gap - Wikipedia  at around 4.30 pm which is about when the day shift knocks off and heads home to Alice Springs. What this means is every other trip, as I get to that intersection which is just after a blind crest in the road I am always presented with a line of cars exiting onto the highway like lemmings, none of them ever seem to look and it always result in an emergency braking situation for me. I have had more near misses at that intersection than I care to count. Every damn trip. My normal average speed was 130 to 140 km/h depending on the prevailing winds (strength and direction).

Well, this time I decided, nah, fuck it. So I put my foot down. My government owned Toyota Corolla (2001 model) was singing along in the redline (it was a manual) the entire trip. I only slowed down for 2 bend complexes on the road (double wide 90 degree bend) and (a wide left - right pairing), And slowed again for the final stretch into the town itself due to speed limits. I pulled up at the post office in Alice Springs at exactly 4:10pm

1 hour 10 minutes to cover a distance of 200km - 100% legally too. At the time there was no speed limit on the Stuart Highway. Today there is a 130km/h speed limit on that road.

Avoided the lemmings which was the goal after all.

well i have schizotypal disorder, so i do a lot of things most people don't understand ? the way i've come to live a better life is by embracing my strangeness rather than trying to suppress it to appear "normal" for other people's favor, which doesn't work out usually. of course when it comes to work i have to suppress it, which leads to very awkward interactions because i'm very obviously not myself. people suck, and if they can't get over the fact that i'm weird, that's not worth my time. i've stopped trying to gain others' favor and my life has been a lot better since then; i'm naturally a solitary and paranoid person, so it doesn't bother me that i don't have friends nearby. these days, people my age (early 20s) betray each other over the littlest things. i don't want that in my life either.

in terms of things i do that people don't understand (isolation being one of them,,) one that immediately comes to mind is the lengths i go to to prevent spiritual paranoia lol. in my house, you know when you're approaching my room: witch's burrs (sweet gum tree's spiky balls) and dried water caltrops hanging from red strings over my door and windows, an evil eye amulet also over my door, sigils on parchment attached to my door, and a lingering hint of cedar and sandalwood incenses right outside. on certain days of the year, sometimes associated with holidays and sometimes for personal reasons, i sprinkle black salt on our porch and windows, and depending on the holiday or other significant occasion, i sometimes make bags filled with herbs and natural tokens i've found, either hanging them or laying them around the room/around the house. i make those bags and gift them as well. i also carry around some weird animal bones, paws and things like a genuine bat nut and trinkets i find while scavenging like lucky coins, a screw and an old key. i make natural oils and sprays for specific purposes and i also make a lot of talismans.

my roommates just let me do what i do lol, they think it's all woowoo except one roommate at first who opposed it because he's christian, but he has eventually come to accept the fact that i'm not a devil worshipper and my pentacle altar cloth is not in fact satanic. he's still a dick about it, though. i could be a dick right back about his ideology, but i prefer to be kind though i will respond with a snarky remark every now and then lol.

another weird thing that a lot of other people find very creepy about me is the fact that i collect (ethically sourced) animal bones/skulls/teeth/claws/paws/tails. i have quite the collection right now, but i recently ordered some new additions since it's been a while since i scavenged any bones. my favorite piece ever though is my damaged beaver skull; the cleaned and whitened bones i've ordered and cleaned myself are indeed fascinating, but the beaver is nature cleaned and very aged, making it so unique. it was my very first piece in my collection and for that he holds a special significance, and he is probably the most captivating one i have. the aged bone tells me that this beaver and his skull have a lot of stories to tell! he's very fragile and no one else is allowed to touch him, while they are allowed to touch my other bones should they desire. my partner particularly likes the claws in my collection.

one last weird thing is that my window is ALWAYS open, no matter the temperature apart from deep winter, cracked if it's raining. since my work is mostly computer-based, i don't get to spend a lot of time outside so that's my way of getting my nature fix lol.

Where do I begin... This is kind of non-sexual, I guess? Depending on the situation, at least.

I'm a slave and my circle's rather hardcore, I've come to realise, but it's my "norm" so when I have encounters with subs or slaves that are outside of my circle (usually friends, unaffiliated with my circle as I said), I feel they tend to treat me like a wild exotic bird from some faraway land when I either tell them stories of what outlandish things I'd do or be done to or when my automatisms, my slave instincts, kick in.

Like, sometimes I forget standard etiquette and, huh, consume whatever food of the moment without utensils or lap up drinks instead of drinking it like most would or when I get on my knees, usually preparing for oral, after friends pat my head...

Or even when I react during interactions like when I automatically push my butt out after it's slapped or touched to some extent or being at the cinema and spreading my legs like when I instinctively open the way for superiors to do what they want, after feeling the often innocent brushing of friends hands when passing drinks or snacks. I'm an open market snatch, I know.

Another example would be visitors, in this case they rather appreciate it usually and came to kind of get why it happens but still seem to find it very odd that I act like so, Master trained me to suck off guests, male or female, under the table when there's visitors (they're most often people Master allow to use me, sex disease-free) and not consume meals should any be served for the fluids I'd ingest would be my platter (I can usually get something after the "official meal" is over so it's not like I starve either.

Besides, it's quite filling I find, is that weird?

Honestly there's just so much... I don't know... I'm probably a walking anomaly or something.

I mean, RC cars are pretty cool so I can understand haha, I used to have a badass one...!

...Before I drove it into a river with strong current...

Only found it, like, two years later, at least I assume it was mine, it obviously didn't work but I was glad to have found it regardless of the mud and seven used condoms stuck in it.

I wonder if those were used in me... That'd be a very intimate spot of mine in that lake if it was the case haha~

Woah~! I got a similar collection - not the one about the sculpted cocks, if anyone wonders - like, it started with Master's cat that died long ago, I turned her into a model for one of Master's birthdays but it was ill received... Pixie's been residing on a shelf in my room here in UK since.

I'm actually glad the Estate's staff took great care with her, during the three years I was away.

I wish I could do that, I can't really do that when it's sunny since I'm allergic to the sun but whenever there's clouds dark enough to be sure the risks are minimised, my room's window is always open. Besides, I like rain so even if there's that I let it pour, not that it really gets in anyway.
