kurisu7885 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 This problem has been popping up for a little while, but someo f my games have been randomly minimizing. I first noticed it with Sonis and All Stars Racing Transformed. In the middle of a race it'll just minimize for no apaprent reason, I see no notifications or anything. Then Skyrim did the same, and so does Borderlands 2. I see absolutely no notifications so I can't see why it's been doing this.
Ark of Truth Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 My brother has the same issue but with different games, the only thing you can really do is put up with it.
Slammer64 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Most likely, it's a process running in the background, FNV always minimizes on me whenever I get a popup in the system tray, like an update notice from my AV software.
D_ManXX2 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 maybe some taskmanager pops up. are you playing the game with virusscanner or other software running in the background ?? usually software who wants to connect to the internet wants to update and then your game minimizes. try running with clean boot. Hit start type msconfig and disable any program you don't need while playing, and reboot your system. Make sure you disable your internet first.
kurisu7885 Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Well, just ran Spybot and it seems it had a few issues, so that might have been it actually.
CharlieFoxxx Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 The commonality with games minimizing is this, almost all programs that update minimize the current window to bring it to your attention, also antivirus/antimalware are bad at doing this too, it also happens when you press the windows key on your keyboard accidentally and the same with alt tab and some kyboards/systems have a key built in to minimize when pressed a certain combination
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I had this issue I bought PC Cleaner Pro and my issue went away after using it so whatever is causing it seems to be fixable. If you're willing to pay for it that is.
