LurkingPerv Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 i'm running into this frequent glitch where all sims in a work building get 'spat out' of it, as in they're all suddenly just standing outside of it with their entire queue cleared at seemingly random times in the day. i can tell my sims to get back in there right away, but now they're only going to get payed for half a day's work. this only started happening after installing nraas's better story progression mod, but i did not install that in the middle of an existing save file; i started a fresh save after installing it mods i'm running: kinky world NRAAS's master controller NRAAS's betetr story progression lizcandor polygamy and while i'm on the topic, certain mail items get bugged out in my mailbox and cause my sim to get 'spat out' in a similar manner, and they're most frequently ordinary bills. i can use master controller to put the bugged out mail items in my character's inventory, but after doing so they become completely uninteractable and just bloat their inventories. i'm pretty sure this started happening before i installed better story progression is it the polygamy mod? story progression? what do you guys think?

Go to my old page, follow link and get last build 409 public release. If you are using mod from MTS, I believe there are 1 or 2 other mods required and listed on the page, which is why I asked if you read the page. Also this

Also this well damn, i got bamboozled then huh. do you think this version of kinky world is what's causing the 'spat out' issue? that's the only real issue i'm having so far and it's quite frustrating. though i played a bit more and found that the police station 'spits' sims out but the city hall didn't do so. could it be that has to do with rapists getting arrested and released? also i did install those 2 required mods but they totally slipped my mind when recounting what i installed. i'm ignorant as hell but i have my doubts the polygamy mod is making buildings behave strangely

Whatever reasons, Oniki removed build 375 and "updated" it with 399. 399 is commonly thought to be the most buggy KW build. She never returned to replace that. In Dec, she made public release of build 409. I posted the link on my old page. I and many others use it, although I heard 402 and 403 are also very good builds, but a couple less features. Not sure which features. 399 can mess up a lot, so try with 409 and see how it goes. I just installed the polyamory mod, and have not had those problems you mention.

Most of the time they work as advertised. Other times not. Good example: Sick of slow walking Mummys, I snagged the Mummys Walk Normally mod. 'It' worked fine, but caused ANY Sim trying to use the Seasons EP skating rink to walk around it wearing skates but not raised up/wheels sunk through the floor surface. While trying to figure out what was causing it, the first thing I did was check ALL mods that were 'installed' recently before the glitch began to happen. Because this WAS a walking thing and the Mod was also a 'walking' thing, checking the date I could see the mod was created before the Seasons EP was released and had never been updated. Mystery solved and Mummys walk slow again unfortunately. Mods used to be for nerds, but like everything else - they are now mainstream but the knowledge to use them isn't always the case. One really needs to understand the entire thing, system, files, game engine use, etc. or it can be frustrating. One also needs to be patient AND scientific in their approach or they are just looking for trouble. Get the newest version of KW as the Lady mentioned. If you haven't learned basic trouble shooting, now is a good time to learn. DON'T assume stuff works when experiencing issues. Remove/test/install/test/repeat as necessary till the problem mod is located - then the user needs to make decisions . . . The faster your processor, ram, drive(s), the better experience you will have. My Sims 3 is now on a digital drive on a VR ready system and it seems to do the best it can with an old 32bit game engine made to run the Sims 3 on every potato system being used in 2009. So if you have an old system and are trying to run the game with a LOT of CC, it can bog down the processes and cause issues making windows 'drop' information (if you will) causing things to be forgotten. Then when a process calls for that 'lost' information, the game just resets parts of itself and moves on.
