Zor2k13 Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The official video just posted on youtube a few hours ago. The release date is 2023:-( Why does it seem like everyone and modders are waiting until NEXT YEAR to release something? Who cares if this doesn't work on xbox for a year if that is what the problem is WHO CARES? SCREW XBOX dammit!!!! I'm sure that is the real delay probably the same reason why starfield is being delayed too. Also first quarter of next year is supposed to be brutal financially and no company wants to try and make money during that time. I really don't understand this wait until next year crap IF the wait is not needed and the work is almost or already done as I suspect. 6

Fallout: London is not being made by Toddy and Co. so nothing to do with Starfield. It also means the team on this have less resources than Toddy and Co, and so can't instantly do things. I'm sure Yoda mentioned something about patience somewhere...
Zor2k13 Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Yes I know but it seems like some of these people out there have some kind of affinity for bethesda to the point where they would actually put something off to benefit beth or in this case "be fair" to peasant box users. I'm not saying anyone could maek mod instantly I think they are doing it intentionally. Just look at that trailer, giant elephants with tank guns on top and some guy riding a bicycle and some kind of controlling a small boat WTF? That looks done to me I don't mind the bicycle guy lookin a little wobbly better than walking any day.
ebbluminous Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) Come back when you have evidence not speculation Edit - That came across a tad harsh. Apologies. I'd just rather discuss FO:L being pushed back by Beth, if there is a concrete connection between the two. Yeah they've shown stuff in the trailer, but that might be where they are up to with not a lot else done Edited June 26, 2022 by ebbluminous
Zor2k13 Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 See I'm not the only one that thinks this way, I wish there was evidence but only an insider would possibly have it.
ebbluminous Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 If only Toddy had an account here and would step up to comment...

Well, it looks at least like it has more of a chance than Vampire:The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. That still shows up with a release date of TBD..........ugh. So there is that silver lining.
Zor2k13 Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Well, we know why F4NV ain't gonna make it so there is some solid news there. Just waiting to see how F3inF4 fares and miami though I don't think miami will get release it seems to be fading out.
Oldwolf58 Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 If you read the article here the delay has nothing to do with Beth and everything to do with the team finishing the mod so that it ISN'T Beth like (doesn't crash every time you turn around). These guys started this on an idea that came up randomly during a conversation. The idea stuck with one of them and he followed through with it during the COVID down time he was forced into. The work slowed when covid restrictions eased and that is what the delay is. Time, it takes Time to put out a solid project and I for one applaud them for taking the time to ensure they put out a solid project.
Gameplayer Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 (edited) Most mod users have no idea how much time any project takes. Some of the easiest things they ask for, talking about 30-80 work hours. No perception of time. Could take 40, 80, 120, 240 hours of research to just use the programs required to make the mod, and that is actually fast as fuck, you try to get that same program taught to you in a University I promise you it will take 2 Semisters about 6 months and you still wont understand how to use the program not even be able to use it as a skill in the workforce. Ask all the time for very specific guides to their questions, hours to write up specific guide sometimes a response to their simple question takes days of research and hours to compose in a written guide format. No clue. Big projects months even years involving anywhere from as little as 2 people to couple dozen people with more likely 2 to 3 of those people putting in 25 hour work weeks for years. But its Beth's fault, we need to get an insider ya, we need someone to give us the low down about how come this free thing is not out yet. Its Xbox fault Some industry guy got in the way and so on. Zor2k13 Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 Did you watch the summer game fest recently? almost nothing is coming out and everything is scheduled for next year. The london and the miami projects are connected to some kind of charity that is providing money I think not sure for people to work on these things. That would explain why london is so far along and miami is now streaming dev work on youtube. I do understand it takes a long time to make something but I also understand human nature. I don't trust charities and I don't trust microsoft (hey who does?) this whole thing just kind of stinks. It doesn't look and feel like modding and mod scenes of the past things are so different since creation club and paymeon.
Gameplayer Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Well charity huh, sounds like they took some money from someone and you know what that means..... No more creative liberty, Oh joy.
Cozza Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 ITT - Person learns about marketing/PR You might think it looks good and ready. People said the same about Cyberpunk, No Mans Sky, Mass Effect Andromeda, etc, etc, etc (the list goes on). But we know how those went.

Beth needs good rep stroking right now and saw that opportunity with this mod group. I think it is funny how this mod project has more positive traction than starfield.
