maroon.andy Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Hey guys, was really irritated with the neck seams i keep getting with standard npcs like ysolda and Carlotta and stuff so i decided to use the TexBlend from caliente that's SUPPOSEDLY meant for Navatsea or Milkdrinker/ Barbarian in which i have neither. My body and face mods are : Dimonized UNP female body > SeveNBase custom Bombshell Bikini body > Real Girls Realistic Body Textures. I'm hoping if there's anyone who can texblend for me or RATHER, teach me how to. Danke! Here's an image of how messed up it is right now. I reinstalled the mods in order and it does this so yeah, rather find a fix for neck seams now i guess? xD Also, attached is the models and textures mods that i have installed, is there anything that's clashing with one another? if so, which should i remove? Cheers!
Ark of Truth Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 This should be in the Skyrim Technical Support Section. I've flagged it so a moderator can move it. A link to the mod would be helpful.
Nite_Star Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Real Girls Realistic Body Textures, I used these and had the same issue, so reverted back to CBBE. But might not be this mod, and the SeveNBase custom Bombshell Bikini body was also removed by me.......Now I have normal HD CBBE body textures running.....

Andy_Social Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I used to use TeX blend but I learned how to fix these issues with a few resources and GIMP. BI Phenotypes has an awesome TeX blend resource that if you tweak the color of your body texture it will work wonders. Your best bet is to just is to either wait for a TeX blend kit or get comfortable with GIMP. And look out for .PSD resources which can help a lot.

Leito86 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 That neck seam is not a texture problem, it's an issue with the body model itself. Working with body replacers before, importing/working with body nif files is pretty hit or miss since the model likes to move around ever so slightly upon every import. It also could be that the skin weights aren't properly set at the neck too.
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Wasn't the "my skin textures went jet black all of a sudden" related to a lack of mipmaps in the skin texture & this being a problem for the game?
maroon.andy Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 Wasn't the "my skin textures went jet black all of a sudden" related to a lack of mipmaps in the skin texture & this being a problem for the game? I have got no idea :| but now it seems as tho there's problems with the realgirls v05 Large textures i use... The npc's bodies appear pitch black, it starts to color up pixel by pixel as i move closer lol. I switched to the Medium textures of realgirls and it worked alright, but still with that neck seam shit. I'm more curious to the fact of why i can't use the Large textures anymore when it worked the last time :| File corrupted perhaps? ANYWAY, no alternative on how i could fix this issue? or rather, an easier way? cause most of the TexBlends are meant for other body mods (cbbe) and not specifically tailored to my customs. Dassss poooop :/ PACIFIC RIM IN IMAX, YES.
maroon.andy Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 I've had the exact same problem, reinstall the textures. in sequence, if you use a wet/sweaty texture install it last. anything you want to do to the texture (blending. whatever) do it before installing sweat. skyrim seems to also like corrupting saves anytime you mess with textures, especially if said textures are different from what the original was in that save. which is why your getting a square blocky looking black texture that seems to go to skin color the closer you get but still stays mostly black. some how the mipmaps get corrupted when doing a full change on textures. mipmaps are for distance, further away you get the smaller the mipmap being used. when doing texblend do it with JUST the main texture before adding sweat or anything else. btw let us know how Pacific Rim is Yeah it finally worked, well... somewhat on my game, still getting the neck seams but i guess i'm gonna wait it out till there's a more specific and stable texture blender that's meant for these mods xD Thanks for the instructions tho, appreciate it. Pacific Rim was absolutely the best on IMAX, everything else is just bootleg. Love the cool graphics, the not too overdone fan service moments but perhaps they could have explained the story a little more rather than just skipping most parts forward. Yes, although it is a whole different movie, in terms of storyline and cool VFX graphics, Transformers clearly has got not a single fighting chance. Pacific Rim is Fuckin Boss. But i wouldn't call it movie of the year, effects is still pretty satisfying. OMG Nerd Jizz FTW. Oh and if you're gonna watch it, watch it in IMAX, you'll find out why. Have a good day.
KaraKoram Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 hey, I hve similar issues with texblend, I was trying to join the hips (bad seam) and ended up with seam fix, but dark color skins all across the females. HELP!
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 hey, I hve similar issues with texblend, I was trying to join the hips (bad seam) and ended up with seam fix, but dark color skins all across the females. HELP! *I will assume that you are using CBBE body & textures (if you are using UNP, use UNP Blender instead). "Bad hips" is not a seam issue. It is an issue caused by using out-of-date textures on CBBE, or by trying to use the wrong textures for the wrong body (eg: CBBE textures on UNP, etc.). Before you do ANYTHING else, check the compatibility of your skin textures as it sounds like you're using the wrong ones! Now to fix the blackface problem... Okay - do NOT run around in the game with this problem going on. It can somehow get embedded in Autosaves, and then in every save after that if you do not stop to fix it. If you've just kept playing & saving while this problem has been going on around you, STOP. Go to your \Documents\my games\Skyrim folder, and delete ALL your autosave files (there should be between three and six in total). You will need to delete those saves you've made while this problem has been present (hopefully it's only a few). This may mean that you will lose some progress, but that's better than having this bug going on forever. Next, uninstall your skin textures. Re-install them via NMM in the correct order (this can vary depending on what skins & other accessories you're using). Now, go to your \Skyrim\Data\Textures\actors\character\female folder. In GIMP (or Photoshop I guess - either way, make sure you have the DDS PLUGIN properly installed. Simple how-to's for this can be found via Google and/or YouTube), open the first texture file at the top of the window. As it opens, a little "LOAD DDS" pop-up window should appear. Make sure "Load Mipmaps" and "Show this Dialogue" are ticked, and hit "OK". Now the texture will load in GIMP with the mipmaps. *DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO IT!*. Just go to File > Save, and close. Repeat this process for ALL the textures in that folder. Don't worry - the whole process is very quick. Then try TexBlend again. Before you do, double-check to make sure you're actually using it correctly, have it properly set-up, etc. I assume you're already using properly compatible textures (if you're not sure, check). Once everything is blended, check the results in-game. HOPEFULLY the problem will have been solved. If so, MAKE A BACKUP COPY of your \Skyrim\Data\Textures\actors\character\female folder in case this ever happens again. In general, make sure you are not trying to overload your game with too many high-res. textures. This problem repeatedly occurred for me when I did this, and did not go away until I finally sat-down, removed ALL my mods, re-installed my game, and made some far more sensible choices, junked ALL my saves, and started a fresh new game. That, and I got a new graphics card (but I don't think that will be necessary here).
