David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 After going through the installation process of everything on Vortex with FNIS Behavior SE 7_6 having the arm animation fix and the box above it checked, SKSE64 2.1.5 installed, SkyUI_5_2_SE in and XPMSSE in, SexLab Framework v163 still won't show anything as "OK" on MCM and won't let me click on the install button even after the FNIS generate for users window shows the "1365 animations for 5 mods successfully included (character)" message. Either I'm stupid or fucked up somewhere along the line of installing, anyone got any ideas on what I should do?

David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 Just now, yorpers said: It looks like you have skse for AE but sexlab for SE. I haven't slept much so maybe I'm wrong on the version info here. Ah, so I'm stupid. i s e e
David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 But wait doesn't Sexlab SE need 2.1.5 or newer? The only available version of SKSE for SE is 2.0.20 Edit: Testing it anyways
yorpers Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 For Skyrim Special Edition (1.5.97, aka SE) use SexLabFrameworkSE_v163.7z For Skyrim Special Edition (1.6.353, aka AE) use SexLabFrameworkAE_v164c.7z this is taken from the sexlab mod page the v163 one uses 2.0.20 the 164 uses 2.1.5
David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 Now I'm getting an SKSE loader issue saying that the version of Skyrim that I'm using is too new for SKSE64 supports
David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 I'm guessing I have to downgrade SkyrimSE to the 1.5.97 version?
yorpers Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Sounds like you have AE then? I don't know how to go about downgrading, I never let my game update so I don't have first hand experience in that. If you want to keep using AE you will need the skse 2.1.5 and sexlab 164c. You may have more mods using the wrong version for your game too, may want to look into all that as well.
David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 I'm on Special Edition but use AE since it's more up to date for some reason. (And is also the only one that works for my current version of SE)
David Boowle Posted June 17, 2022 Author Posted June 17, 2022 I just had a thought; why don't I just install the AE version of Sexlab Edit: IT FUCKING WORKS, LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (Edit 2: The menu shows the OKs at least rather)
Just Don't Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 ... AE and SE are the same thing but different versions. It's not a separate game or something exclusive to people who bought the paid DLC with all the CC stuff. If you don't have automatic updates disabled, you got the AE update and you must use things for AE. This means SKSE 2.1.5, SL 164 and so on. That's why the specific versions are mentioned at the top of the SL page in bloody red letters.
