[SEARCH] clothing mods that add clothes (archieved)

There are many mods that replace outfits with more revealing ones, but are there any that add skimpy clothes to the mix without it becoming the only option? I mean so that there would still be some female npc's wearing more modest clothes.

Okay, so get bodyslide, install a mod that adds skimpy clothes, one that does not, and then pick and choose which clothes to process using the bodyslide tool. I do it all the time, simply making things like barmaid clothes skimpy but not some others.

Thanks a ton, I didn't remember that bodyslide can be use on some clothes and not just all of them, but will the non processed outfits make the wearer use the vanilla body? Also, I hope I can get some recommendations on mods that add additional clothes still, just so there is some variety.

how do you separate from the PC and NPCs?

The remodeled armor from CT77:

LE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25259
SE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22168

Has stand alone options

now, if you just want to make mashups or armor for your PC only, you can make them yourself. I have a full tutorial on this and if you need help hit me up.

I don't know. I would like to find a mod that adds skimpy clothes to the options without replacing the original version, like I could find a revealing piece of clothing from a wardrobe but the vanilla outfits could also still be found around the world instead of every NPC having skimpy clothing. Maybe that's not possible, but I thought I would ask if there was a mod like that.

The question was out of curiosity. As far as I understand is if the mod is built in bodyslide it's built for everyone.

There's also fabulous world of bikini armor, which has books that you need to find in order to craft them.

I figured it was. Was my answer implying otherwise? A genuine question, English isn't my first language. The recap of what I am searching for wasn't meant as sass, I thought something  in the first post had implied that I know.

No... it wasn't taken as such... no worries.

Anyway... there are options out there. did you check out the two? the bikini and remodeled armor?

I think I know what it is you're after, but sadly I don't think that's possible, for the following reason:

NPC's (non-follower types) will have a set outfit, and every NPC of that type will have the same default outfit. When a mod makes a skimpy version of that outfit, it replaces the vanilla outfit, so all the NPC's that use that outfit will then get the skimpy version.

In the Creation Kit, you can change what the default outfit is for certain characters (again, primarily follower types), but this would be a long and laborious task to individually change every NPC - ex: set Hulda in the Bannered Mare to use her default vanilla outfit, but then change Ysolda's to a skimpy outfit, and Saadia to something different as well.

You would need to write your own mod that would allow you to add skimpy versions of outfits (with a slightly different name than vanilla), and then have the game randomly choose from a list of vanilla and skimpy outfits suitable for that character type when you first start a game. The mod would also have to edit every single NPC to remove their default outfit and replace it with an outfit class, which would tell the randomizer which list to choose from.

Some mod added outfits have zap sliders to make them more or less skimpy, depending on what you choose to hide, but when the outfit is built and saved, all existences of that outfit in the game will be identical.

Lazman's outfit replacer has zap sliders for each outfit - over 60 in all. You cannot batch build his outfits if you want to use the zap sliders. They all have to be built individually. This is time consuming (took me a couple hours to build them all the way I wanted) - Initially, I did batch build all the outfits, then went back and zapped what I wanted to on each outfit over the course of a couple days, doing 15 or so outfits at a stretch before playing some more. Again though, every NPC that uses those outfits looks the same.

Hope this answers your question.

I compared the two and went with Bikini Armor. Haven't got time to test it yet tough. Found a whole bunch of interesting mods that require it.

That's pretty much what I thought would have to be done. I am not a mod maker and that sounds way too complicated so that's a no for me doing it. I hoped someone else had already done it and I just hadn't found the mod yet.

I do have a complete tutorial on how to make mashups. If this is only for you, you can use one esp and edit it in creation kit. it's a little time consuming but once you get it down it can be pretty quick. i like to mess with mashups myself. i'm a bit lazy to share them though.

I might try, but I'm not confident at all. Thank you for the instructions.

But seriously, there are all kinds of mods that add items instead of replacing them, how can it be that there are not more mods that add skimpy clothings on a self of some cave or something. Having some of the NPC's also wear those would be a bonus, but even just PC having something tantalizing to wear, other than DD's hobble dresses, would be enough. Apparently Bikini Armor doesn't replace the armors of the NPC's, that was a nice surprise. I have now found the iron version of the bikini armor and it looks nice but the other models look more appealing in pictures.

there are mods that replace armor but as far as i know there are two main ones for skimpy stuff. that's remodeled armor and bd armor replacer

There are a couple of others but they're all based off of remodeled armor. They may look differently but are close enough. It's a lot of work to do all of that

Seems great, but aren't UUNP and CBBE mutually exclusive?

you use one or the another. that's the CBBE conversion. it requires the original uunp. that being said they aren't really exclusive. if you know bodyslide there's no need to convert. You can build a UUNP mod with your CBBE preset. You just need to replace the basebody with another built cbbe mod.

How do I do that? I know how to switch between CBBE curvy, amazing etc, is it just like that? And if it's meant to be either or how can UUNP body just be replaced with a CBBE body without it making the clothes look off?

I just did a new tutorial on how to do this

I am trying out Female Outfits Standalone, and I love the look of the armors, but there are no armor points on them? Am I missing something? I searched the mod page.
