cant get sexlab to intall in-game

i go into the MCM, select the sexlabs menu, everything is there, but when i try clicking the install/update button, it does nothing?

very new to modding skyrim so any input will help

it can sometimes take a while before it starts up. Installation must be performed by exiting the MCM menu. Also, are there any requirements?

Check that you got the correct SL Framework for the game you have (Skyrim LE, Skyrim SE 1.5.97 or 1.6+).

Confirm you installed all its requirements and that they're also for the game you have.

Wait to have full control of your character before opening the MCM. This is usually after getting your hands untied in the Helgen intro, or after you complete your character creation if you're using an alternate start mod.

 

There are different forum sections and downloads for LE and SE files, this is one of the most important parts when modding Skyrim. Identify which game do you have and get mods made for that version, if it's Skyrim SE you also need to know the specific executable version (product version of your SkyrimSE.exe file), because a somewhat recent update makes some mods only work in games before or after that update.

just seen that whenever i load in, it says missing SexLabUtil, but yes i do exit the MCM menu, i waited like 15 minutes but nothing happened, when i click the install button nothing happens either, which is different to tutorials ive watched, and all requirements that sexlab framework has ive downloaded, so i have no idea what im doing wrong

as mentioned in your reply, you have to install the mod SexLabUtil 1

im sorry, i am pretty stupid, im looking for sexlabutil for Special edition but i cant find it, my game is the special edition 

is there a special edition version for SexLabUtil?

Because you're using the wrong Sexlab Framework for SE. That's a file included in SL Framework, but it's not detected because it's incompatible with your game... Now I see from your other reply you're on Skyrim SE. So again, check your SkyrimSE.exe product version, then go to the SL Framework for SE mod page and check which file you need to get.

the topic I referred you to does not mention anything about this, so I do not know if it is compatible
