Mr. Otaku Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Any time i equip a piece of cloth with SMP physics i keep getting this weird problem, they just won't stop clipping through the breasts and thighs. The ass is fine funnily enough, no clipping there so far but breasts and thighs are having this problem consistently and i have no clue what's going on here. And this isn't just a preset thing, i tried at least 4 different presets including the default CBBE curvy preset. Breast pieces keep sinking through, thigh pieces like stockings and stuff keep clipping through when i'm simply walking. What in the absolute fuck, dude. Spoiler I don't know when the fuck Skyrim modding became this convoluted but this is turning out to be too tedious at this point and it's making me question why i'm even bothering with this janky mess anymore. Someone please help me out here.
Sailing Rebel Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Noticed this happening after a few minutes in-game on some previous versions of Faster HDT-SMP. Make sure it's up-to-date. Ensure that all the requirements for that armor are installed correctly. For instance, it may depend on specific third-party XML config files. Check the support thread for the armor mod and see if this is a known issue and if there is a solution.
tecckblade Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 you do have the Skeleton installed right? Could be the problem. Also, " I don't know when the fuck Skyrim modding became this convoluted but this is turning out to be too tedious at this point and it's making me question why i'm even bothering with this janky mess anymore. Its mostlikly user error I rarely have clipping issue with 3ba and when I do its usually cause I did something wrong not the Modding being Convoluted or tedious its me making the mistake. stop trying to blame everything else , "Ask does anyone know what I am doing where here ? " and maybe people would feel the need to respond to you.
Inga Rasen Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Sinking breasts can be a skeleton problem or your body simply doesn't even have smp. Reinstall xp32 and see if you got htd https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30872 You can also try faster hdt. Or you simply installed wrong version for the wrong body. What body and armor are you using? You can't build your body 4 times with different presets and expect everything to fit. Build your own preset, then batch build everything. Some modded armor has 2 versions like 3ba and smp so you might want to single handed rebuild them. To double check, open outfitstudio and load up both your body and the armor to see if it fits. Sometimes you might need to reopen bodyslide for all files to work correctly.

All requirements are installed, but i don't know what you mean by XML config files. I know that they come in a lot of mods and i've seen a lot of talk around "writing your own XML files" but i don't think i understand that. It does seem to be a known issue, quite a lot of people are reporting the exact same thing i'm experiencing here. There's even a thread in this section about the same problem but so far i haven't found a solution posted anywhere. 2 hours ago, tecckblade said: you do have the Skeleton installed right? If you can't help then get tf outta here instead of giving me snark over nothing. And yes i do have the right skeleton i'm not goddamn blind. You couldn't have helped me anyway if you're doubting that i don't have a skeleton installed, so the least you can do is not bitch about my tone when i never directly insulted anyone. 50 minutes ago, Inga Rasen said: Sinking breasts can be a skeleton problem or your body simply doesn't even have smp. Upon further testing i found that most other outfit mods are actually working much better. I still get some clipping with them around the calves, forearms, thighs (very barely with some outfits) and chest cloth pieces being raised a little too much over the breasts and creating a gap between the cloth and the breasts, but no egregious clipping like this one. I'm using CBBE 3BA and the outfit in the pic is Caress Of Venus for that body, so no version mismatch. The preset in that pic is the default CBBE curvy, since i was getting frustrated with presets i thought one of the default presets should work better but apparently not. There are some outfit mods that have both 3BA and SMP versions, i can see them when i'm batch building. Should i build them both or build one one of them and if it's the latter, which one should i go for? When i select the outfit in the pic using Bodyslide preview it does seem to fit there, would i see a difference in Outfit Studio? Reopen as in, batch build, close Bodyslide and then reopen it?

Maybe it's a weight problem? Did you changed it in racemenu? I never had this issuse tbh. After installing armors i just build them one by one and it works. Sometimes some edit needs to be done like increasing meshes. But not the issue you have. Looking at the mod page, requirements, FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP try installing this. - Armors with separated files like 3ba and smp means that smp will put physics on the clothes. Choosing 3ba will not give the clothing physics, but move with the body instead. cbpc/smp can cause clipping during movement like walking, attacking ect. So even if it looks like it fits in outfitstudio, it can still not look good in game. So manual editing needs to be done like increasing the meshes. That is up to you. You can delete meshes, mix and match from other mods ect. Yes, i havn't really experienced issuse myself, but it is recommended to re-open bodyslide after you're done.

I don't remember changing anything in racemenu, as you can see in my screenshot i was still using the default character. That mod was already installed, a few days before making this thread i made another one with a problem that was solved by installing FSMP. I actually didn't know that's the difference, in hindsight it seems too obvious but i never realized just what makes smp different from 3ba and all that stuff. Thanks. So i've been testing with more and more outfits since creating this post, and sparingly most of them are working pretty fine. This is kind of a relief because now i know it's this outfit in particular that's not working right and in the mod page posts tons of people are reporting the exact same problems. Although there are certain outfits in BD Armor Replacers like Imperial Captain that still get a tiny bit of clipping around the thighs when walking or crouching, it snaps back to place once i'm not moving but as the thigh physics are active i do see some mild clipping. It's nothing too serious and easy to ignore due to how small it is, but i did notice it. Okay i'll try the reopening bodyslide thing, thank you so much for your time.

I have a thread from a few days ago regarding a far more severe problem which Faster HDT-SMP fixed. Thank you for your time.
