This method does not work, the face is broken

It worked whenever I did it.

Basically, the FaceGenData has to be copied from the followers meshes and texture folders to your SKSE/Plugins/CharGen folder.  I'm not aware of another method.  Perhaps someone else is.

Project Proteus has function to use NPC appearence for PC. Never used, i usually went the other way around. But you may want to try that.

That's because that Serana replacer was made with CoTR (Charmers of The Reach and you are more than likely using a vanilla or different headmesh as it uses it's own custom headmesh.

Actually, I take that back. In the description it links to High Poly headmesh so it's not CoTR as I thought.

Do you have High Poly Head installed?  That might be why...

Well that is odd then.  I know they wouldn't be exactly the reimagined Serana, but there are some pretty cute, gothy female presets out there, and with Startgame Monsters you can be a vampire or werewolf from the word go.  It's what I did.

Thank you friend! Turning into a vampire helped, the head fell into place, it remains to add cosmetics)))

My experience with the Proteus method to copy a character appearance to your PC is that it works well for existing in-game NPCs but does a HORRIBLE job of tranlating the custom ones.  I tinkered around a bit with it and was never able to get satisfying results.

Hello! I'm 3 years late but I'm trying this now and I can't seem to get it to work. Even after becoming a vampire it doesn't seem to work. How did you get it to work?
