looking for a mod thats stops npc sims from instantly going home

So Lets just say I went to visit a friend while her husband was gone I went to travel mode, clicked on the house, and saw that her husband was greyed out or not at home. so I traveled to the house and as soon as I did everyone that lives in the house immediately travels back home. is there a way to stop this from happening? I was also thinking of making a robber character but it would be awkward if everyone shows up when I try to rob the place.

As so often, MCCC is your friend. Get the mod, click the sim and go into "Cheats" (I think) and "Make sim leave" when you need someone to bugger off for story reasons. As for what you want in particular I can't help you, but there is a lot you can do with just MCCC to control your world.

I'm with you, it would be nice if there was a mod that either did as OP says or made it so that you only get invited over when the sim in question is home alone.

 

That and a mod that locks doors whenever sex is taking place.
