Skyrim Superior Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Hello. Mod 1: I have all the DLCs + latest update for both Skyrim (v1.9.32.0.8) & SKSE (v1.6.16 rel 44), also I got Apachii Sky Hair installed. I always use BOSS (v2.1.1) to sort out my load order, but this mod still CTD for me after the Bethesda logo when starting up Skyrim. So, what am I missing here? But, I'm kind of confused with the RaceCompatibility.esm & EnhancedCharacterEdit.esm. For the RaceCompatibility.esm should I download both "(Vanilla)" & "(Update for Dawnguard)" and then overwrite each other, or download only from one link? Which file should I download in those links? After I've downloaded it, what files and folders do I need in the compressed/RAR/ZIP file? For the EnhancedCharacterEdit.esm, what files and folders do I need in the compressed/RAR/ZIP file? or Is it possible for one of you to upload the combined files between RaceCompatibility.esm & EnhancedCharacterEdit.esm that could work with the mod I'm having problem with, basically I'm asking for a ready-to-use files. If not, we could just go back to the questions above and teach me how to do it.
Skyrim Superior Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 Also check which version of ApachiiSkyHair is required, what I see in your load order is ApachiiHairFemales.esm, The latest is 1.5 and also 1.4 is called ApachiiHair.esm. unless that is an edited version for female hair only without male hairs. I've had good luck with the 1.5. previous versions ctd for me, too many hairs. I edited mine for female only since I rarely play a male character. Plus I have the 6 esp SG hair pack. Also I haven't checked lately on ECE's compatability with the latest SKyUI. I updated mine to the latest skyui which just added a quick menu for favorites and it bugged out on me so I had to revert. Just check before you get to far along. and make sure you have the proper skeleton, something easily forgotten...at least for me LOL Yes, I'm aware about the Apachii Sky Hair (that's why I striked it out). Because b3lisario already told me, so that one can be put aside. Now, I need help to solve the problem between RaceCompatibility.esm & EnhancedCharacterEdit.esm (which are the questions in my previous post).

I went through it by myself, which surface yet another problems. It fixes the CTD after Bethesda logo when starting up Skyrim alright, but it also makes the follower's name change to square-like symbols and same goes for Bannered Mare's name. That's only just the half part, the next problem is that the follower's textures is all in purple except for the hair (the hair is the only one seems to be fine). Extracted the '00 Main' 2. Extract and overwrite the '01 ECE' on top of '00 Main' 3. Extract and overwrite the '02 YgNord' on top of both of them RaceCompatibility All-in-One NMM installer-24168-1-70 ===================================================== 1. Extracted the '10 Vanilla' 2. Extract and overwrite the '12 Vanilla USKP + UFO' on top of '10 Vanilla' 3. Extract and overwrite the '13 Vanilla USKP Override' on top of both of them 4. Extract and overwrite the '20 Dawnguard' on top of 3 of them 5. Extract and overwrite the '22 Dawnguard USKP + UFO' on top of 4 of them 6. Extract and overwrite the '23 Dawnguard USKP Override' on top of all of them VoinFollower2 ============= 1. Extracted both 'Data' and 'Omake' After all the extractions and overwritings, then I combined them. First, I overwrite all the 'RaceCompatibility' on top of all the 'Enhanced Character Edit'. Next, I overwrite all the 'VoinFollower2' on top of both of them. Finally, I overwrite all of them into my Skyrim directory. Edit: Somehow I managed to get most of the textures on the follower, but the forehead part still got a missing texture. All I did was copy all the texture files in 'Data\textures\actors\character\female' folder from the SG Female Textures Renewal, then paste it into 'Data\textures\actors\character\VoinFollower\body' folder for the Voin Follower. The only remaining problems are the missing forehead texture, follower's name in square-like symbols and same goes for Bannered Mare's name.

Asian Skyrim font knows the full UTF-8 table means CHN/JAP letters can be displayed and used by Asian modders, If you use an Asian mod with Asian names than something like this happens when you use it on a non-Asian Skyrim and you have to translate the mod to a coding that is compatible with your non-Asian version, or live with it. The Bannered Mare has the same fate because if you place an object in a location the the info of the place is also stored in the mod in the hierarchy, and so the Asian name overwrote the old name.

I see, so that's why only their Skyrim got the proper symbols being displayed. But, what about the forehead though? That one strip of thick black line, is there a way to fix it?
Groovtama Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 The archive doesn't include her brows you have to get some and dump them in the folder with the correct name (is my first guess, because the black bar is in the position of the brows and the facegeom .nif have brows that point to a non existing .dds file, get nifskope and look at it yourself)

Since, only the eyebrows folder is empty. Edit: OH... ... ... MY... ... ... GOD... ... ...!!! I've finally got the last piece of the puzzle together! Thanks to your suggestion, I went to download Nifskope and open up the file to see what's inside as you've said. Yeah, I saw the "aaSGVoinFemaleBrows11". Then, I proceed to download SG Female Eyebrows. I extract the 'femalebrow11.dds' file, which is located in 'Data\textures\actors\character\SGBrows' folder. Then I just move it into the empty eyebrows folder, done. Now all that's left is, I need to learn how to rename the objects back to English. Thank You Very Much, to everyone who have helped me.
