Character misaligned during all animations

Recommended Posts

My character is constantly about a foot too far back in all animations. This isn't exclusive to ll animations and happens even with the vanilla sitting animations, where my character will end up with its body merged into the back of the chair. My only hint so far is, that this issue only happens on characters, that were edited in racemenu.

I'm bumping this because I've had the same issue forever and have no idea how I could fix it, Happens for me in Sexlab animations, Zaz Furniture and vanilla assets as well.
does anyone know a fix? or if there is a mod that lets me move a character by a certain amount for all animations.

Some RaceMenu presets have dirty transforms caused by other mods which will cause misalignment issues in animations. The solution is to not use those presets or to edit the preset’s .jslot in a text editor and remove the dirty transforms. You can find out if you have this issue by making a fresh new character without using a preset and seeing if that fresh character still suffers from the animation misalignment.

Often the Problem of misalignment lies in the installed skeleton.

The animations were made with a certain skeleton as base, when you have another installed where the bones are moved this can happen.

So which skeleton mod have you installed?

Are you sure that no other mods later in you load order are overwriting it?

Most animations are made with XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended XPMSSE in mind.

Had this exact issue, and this thread was the key hint to solving it.  Unchecked XP32 then loaded the game with the misalignment and saved.  Checked it back in, ran FNIS, and everything is back to being as it should.
