SexLab Automatically updating to AE?

I have AE and its not installed but the game will update it anyway. Is there anyway to stop this?

If you mean the game updating, you need to disable automatic/background updates in Steam.

If you mean the SL version, the only way for SL to "update" to AE is if you manually download SL SE 164 and install it into your game/mod manager.

I had my SL update randomly to the latest AE version mid gameplay sometimes, it may be a visual bug of some sort.

Sexlab Framework can't automatically update itself unless you purposely download and install a new version. If your game version is 1.5.97 get SL SE 163, complete the ingame installation from its MCM and call it a day.

 

If your game updates (because you didn't disable automatic/background Steam updates) you'll have problems. If you manually download and install SL SE 164 or later versions, you'll have problems.
