hereforthemodzetc Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Sup, all. This might need to go in support subforum, but I figured I'd give a shot here: I'm wanting to use some of Venus Princess' outfits, but I'm finding basically none of them actually load into the game, and I'm having trouble troubleshooting what's breaking her CC in specific. I've ruled out conflicts, and tried looking over the meshes and bone assignments and such, and nothing's standing out to me in specific. Is anyone aware of similar or alternate versions of her clothes that work? Or aware of a thread that is able to explain what the problem with her packages might be?
_Aya_ Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Hey. Her stuff works fine for me. The only thing I can think of is maybe the items are clones from some EP items that you don't have. I had this issue before. Do you have all of the Expansions installed?
hereforthemodzetc Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 I have all the expansions, yes, but not all the stuff packs. Maybe that's part of it, then. Thanks!

Easy way to test - Clear the mods folder (rename/make new 'empty') and add only a couple of VP CC into the new 'test folder' for mods. Start a new game and check. Basic troubleshooting. Since any steps taken were never mentioned (if taken at all) start here. BTW - I've never seen any EP/SP dependencies listed concerning VP CC - it all appears to be unique/custom. Oh! BTW! Did you clear your .cache files in the Sims 3 documents folder? ......so many things to check - nothing mentioned.........
hereforthemodzetc Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 Thanks, here's a breakdown of what I've tried: Verified all my EP's are selected to load in the launcher Copying the CC to a separate Package folder with the CC isolated, to do a load that's virtually vanilla (still have the intro skipper mod 'cause I hate waiting for the intro)--although I didn't try only doing a few of her things at a time, so I'll try that next Using Delphy's Dashboard to check for conflicts with other CC And, yes, I cleared all the caches. Originally I had something wrong with Thumbnails and Worldcache, so I thought those might be the problem and deleted them only, but when that didn't fix it I just cleared all of them. Repair of the install, just in case And like I mentioned, I just in case opened up the packages to manually look over if there's something else wrong in the actual packages

Next step may be a screenshot of your folders so we can see if you added something incorrectly. May sound like stupid question, but it has happened... Did you unzip the files?
hereforthemodzetc Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 Finally figured it out. It's been so long since I've done the initial set up for enabling mods, I actually forgot about how the resources.cfg lists specific subdirectories to look for package files. Remembering about that made me realize that the unzip I did probably put the packages in a subfolder or two too deep for what's already in the resources.cfg, so as a test I just restructured my packages to be in less subfolders. Now resources.cfg can find them and all's good. Thanks for providing feedback for me to eliminate other problems.
