t.ara Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Visaton VOX 252 MTI Perfect for HiFi and also for the computer as well, why not? Anyway is it important to invest the most of money onto it´s correct places: into the (active-)speakers AND into the DA-converter-system. Means the (thunderbold/USB)-"sound-card"/motherboard-audio, amplifier with internal DA-converter or elsewhat. At least you need quality-cable-connections. EQ - not necessary. Creative soundcards btw. are in between in a very good quality available. Quality DA-converters. But as long you play with the computer mostly compressed audio files, do not await something overwhelming. That´s mosty why I do not like to invest high end for computer purposes. Different aspect is of course, if you play non-wasted sound files or if you use the computer for music-production. The quality of game´s audio became also much more better, during the years-in between it makes more sense to invest more for the computer-audio, compared with the past time-no question. 1

Only thing that has me stumped is some sort of eq software. Have checked several and haven't found anything free that gives me a frequency adjustment tuner like I want. Check out Equalizer APO. It can be a pain in the ass to get working properly but once it does it is pretty good. 1
