Guest Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 So I started legendary mode and fights last way too long. I want to deal as much damage as the enemies. Anyone know a damage modifier menu for the player mod?
Pork Type Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Um, I believe it's called "turning down the difficulty in the Gameplay menu". I play @ Expert, because I want Skyrim to be genuinely dangerous for a new character. But once they develop their skills, it makes sense for them to start turning the tides at about 25-30 or so. Upping the difficulty just alters the amount of damage dealt/damage taken anyway. Expert is 0.75x dealt/1.5x taken Master is 0.5x dealt/2.0x taken. Legendary is 0.25x dealt/3.0x taken.
gwyllgi Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 legendary was bad, it's only use is so you can play uber murder nord higlander without ever having to notice the deficiencies in the stealth and magic playstyles.
lordofthedread Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 if you want to alter difficulty you should definitely forget about this stupid slider and install mods like Requiem, Ultimate Combat, Deadly Dragons etc...
Guest Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 if you want to alter difficulty you should definitely forget about this stupid slider and install mods like Requiem, Ultimate Combat, Deadly Dragons etc... I have all those and requiem sucks because the optional files don't work for me. Also I set attackdamagemult to 5 to fix the damage issue. Anyways you guys I have made legendary a grand experience. To do this you need the altar of dragon souls mod which gives you attributes or perks based on your dragon soul count and how many you want to use. Perks don't work but Souls to perk mod works and is configurable. Also additional enchantments mod makes me pretty badass in dire situations. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12383/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D12383&pUp=1 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18395//? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23898/?
Adam Jensen Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Play legendary mode with high level enemies mod !
Adam Jensen Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I don't like deadly dragons or anything that makes dragons tougher. But that's because I believe dragon encounters suck, big time.
Guest Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Well I don't really have that mod. Do you know a mod that summons circling shield objects like bone shield from diablo 2.
Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Legendary is just another poor attempt at trying to make the game harder by simply slapping you with perks that decrease your damage output multiple times while making you take multiple times more damage. It's the pinnacle of cheap difficulty, something they do simply because they cannot be assed to improve enemy AI to make them actually more difficult. Fuck effort, just handicap the player with invisible perks and call it a day!
Phygnos Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Ultimately, it's not a game designed to challenge you in combat. Mods have done a great job in increasing the difficulty, but there are limitations to what people can do. Anyway, I don't think anyone has mentioned Duel so I'll link it: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2700/ You can also get something like ASIS: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18436/
Guest Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 While I'm kinda done bashing Bethesda for alot of the decisions they made for Skyrim like suddenly abandoning it (I think it was because the DLCs didn't ship in enough money) because it won't change anything anyway I feel like doing it again right now. The 1.9 update feels like nothing more than an update for the sake of updating. It may have fixed some bugs but at the same time brought in some new ones and an addition that nobody needs and that mods already did 200% better months ago with the additional problem that the new bugs may never get fixed because as I said they abandoned it.
Guest Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Tell me this isn't the best! http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30505/?

lordofthedread Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Deadly Dragons is very fun also with new very strong dragon types summoning metor rains and thunderstorms. With these mods enabled fighting dragons becomes very tactical and fun.
Guest Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Does anyone know a better attribute system? such as more health per level. I tried 3rd era attributes but it makes your attacks 2 times faster.
akroma3310 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 A personal favorite of mine is Organized Bandits in Skyrim. Essentially, this divides bandits into factions. A word of advice, avoid the skeevers!
Guest Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I personally love T3nd0s Skyrim Redone especially for it's perks overhaul but playing with it on anything harder than Adept makes me wanna smash my keyboard after getting 2 shotted by a Briarheart for the 5th time even with 50% shock resistance.

I'll check that out.
lordofthedread Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Actually SkyRe is really difficult on earlier levels but not that much on higher levels, it does give you a very good sense of progression and any ennemy could indeed kill you in a few hits but I think Requiem is way harder.

I never really looked for the hardcore challenge anyway and just wanted something to spice up Skyrim's rather lackluster progression system and the vanilla perk system that has atleast 30% completely useless and/or pointless perks.
