Creamlord666 Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Hehe, I just noticed that the boots in the render image look very close to the vanilla cultist boots from the Dragonborn DLC and her pauldrons are quite familiar too...just can't point my finger to a reference by now...damn Alzheimer none of them, all daz3d or renderocity stuff Yeah i know...ah damn, maybe I should working with Poser and 3DSMax again someday...when getting some minions to do the daily work for me lol...or uumpa-loompas

You work pretty fast....It looks way better than I expected in time passed so far. If you still feel creative I might have a nice little site with alluring images: http://www.princearmory.com/ This is some crazy stuff there
The Matrix Prime Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 i did some more Frankensteining and heres what i have long hair shots 2013-07-02_00009.jpg short hair for a better view 2013-07-02_00012.jpg 2013-07-02_00013.jpg 2013-07-02_00014.jpg This is pretty good! The only thing I'd really suggest is raising the lower chainmail covering the crouch. In all (or at least most) of Red Sonja's pictures, it doesn't look like she is wearing a thong from the front. It looks like two straps are holding the chainmail itself up, if you get what I'm trying to say. But a very good job!
flutie Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37867/? , was posted on the nexus, Red Sonja Armor, was half asleep sorry, link was posted earlier
Jay1646 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37867/? , was posted on the nexus, Red Sonja Armor, was half asleep sorry, link was posted earlier Now if someone can add TBBP and full bodyslide support this would be perfect
themainwolfman Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 the thong is not part of the "lower flap" as i call it is a separate piece of clothing i cut short the lower flap cause i hated the way it stuck to the thighs i am still messing around with it i also misread your post and i will try raising it lol
Leito86 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 You guys speeding up here...this is truly awesome! Since I don't have cheerleaders racking up my trunk I will cheer you up with something similar and related to topic... Attached Thumbnails Holy fuck, that last pic is so hot....I may have to make the armor now.....though I'll go ahead and apologize if you don't see a version for anything but UNP UNPB and Sevenbase....
Creamlord666 Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 I use the Art of Magicka mod ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1040/? ) and noticed it contains a retextured version of the Silverlight Armor and thats where the pauldron spring into my eye. To me they look pretty close to the ones of Sonja's armor plus this mod uses several thongs in different colors. As far as I know there is a lot of stuff inside the mod from different creators. Might be a shot to ask for permission and use some stuff instead of creating from scratch. This way you already have the right bodymeshes, skeleton positions and uv-maps at hand...just needs some re-texturing here and there. Oh and it supports UNP and CBBE (mostly). Edit: Memory hole aside, I just recalled that this nice little mod ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25259/? ) contains all BBP meshes for vanilla and some other armor and clothes - including Art of Magicka

Attached Thumbnails Holy fuck, that last pic is so hot....I may have to make the armor now.....though I'll go ahead and apologize if you don't see a version for anything but UNP UNPB and Sevenbase.... Hehe, it is astonishing to notice that no one had the idea so far to create this iconic and *cough* lore-friendly armor. If you feel inspired to try some then your spirit enhanced by my divine gratitude. It may be a good idea that you guys throw your heads together to create something that put Bethesda to shame instead 2 or 3 different versions and leave me and others the pain to pick one lol. Anyway, I will watch and test everything you throw at me.
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Since I enjoy another boring day in office, I found the time to add some new reference material for you guys XD
Leito86 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Hrm, I'm not sure if there's much thinking that needs to be done when there's already so many reference pics. Besides, variety is nice right?

Besides, variety is nice right? Well, if you feel enthralled to created something here then I might point you to the second pic - Red Sonja's new wooden necklace. Looks like she is really bond to it XD
themainwolfman Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 here's another update tell me what you think added the witchelf shoulders smaller version thats not the final color for the shoulder this is just to see how they look in game and here are the raised up "flaps" i hate the stretching on the front flap and for comparison the old cut short "flaps" the "flaps" take up the belt slot so you can equip your characters with something underneath
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 here's another update tell me what you think added the witchelf shoulders 2013-07-03_00005.jpg 2013-07-03_00006.jpg smaller version 2013-07-03_00004.jpg 2013-07-03_00003.jpg thats not the final color for the shoulder this is just to see how they look in game and here are the raised up "flaps" 2013-07-03_00010.jpg 2013-07-03_00011.jpg i hate the stretching on the front flap and for comparison the old cut short "flaps" 2013-07-03_00009.jpg 2013-07-03_00008.jpg the "flaps" take up the belt slot so you can equip your characters with something underneath This looks very cool. I noticed that the "thong" from Art of Magicka mod uses a certain body slot, so it might indeed work well together (too bad it can't be enchanted). The pauldrons look pretty similar to the original just need some fitting textures and thats where the hard part started cause when I look over the countless reference images I see that the pauldrons keep almost the same shape but textures vary pretty much...I think a shiny gold texture should be enough with some shadowing to add depth (uv-map i guess?). Ooh and btw, I really need to make a "clinky" sound effect to replace the footstep sound while wearing that armor XD
themainwolfman Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 i will make 2 test textures one that matches the scales and a gold one as per you're suggestion i would also like to know if i should make the shoulders smaller or keep them the original size and also the flaps must not forget about the flaps hehe
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 i will make 2 test textures one that matches the scales and a gold one as per you're suggestion i would also like to know if i should make the shoulders smaller or keep them the original size and also the flaps must not forget about the flaps hehe I think (for my taste) the smaller shoulder parts look better and are more fitting to the overall "skimpy" style of that armor. The coiny loincloth looks pretty good so far and maybe needs only a little texture improvement ... but this can be done in the future and isn't that important. When the armor is done then comes the rubbing XD
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Hm, I just thought that a brass texture might be better (lore) then bling-bling gold
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Boredom can be very productive...while my brainwaves were surfing through the allmighty interwebs I stumbled over this CGI artist's site: http://paulsimms.weebly.com/3d.html And he made a very detailed 3D Red Sonja...don't mind the model (she is blergh) but the level of detail on her outfit is eyecandy
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Haha, I just noticed i might unvoluntary add some pressure here for you guys but I can assure i just wanna aid in your efforts ( since I will profit too )
themainwolfman Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 if any one wants to give me a hand in the texturing department it would be greatly appreciated my texturing skills are zero i am tearing my hair out trying to make the metal shiny i got the shoulders to have a nice shiny look but for the life of me i cant get the metal scales to do the same without making the leather straps all shiny aswell also i would like to know what you guys think the boots and gloves should look like give examples from other mods and ill ask permission to add them
Creamlord666 Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Hm, gloves and boots...there are different versions in the images I uploaded here but I think this picture here would be the best asset. As you can see she is wearing some wornout leather boots and gloves. Those metal kneecaps aren't necessary but add a nice little touch. I add some leather textures to pick
Wast1980 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 if any one wants to give me a hand in the texturing department it would be greatly appreciated my texturing skills are zero i am tearing my hair out trying to make the metal shiny i got the shoulders to have a nice shiny look but for the life of me i cant get the metal scales to do the same without making the leather straps all shiny aswell also i would like to know what you guys think the boots and gloves should look like give examples from other mods and ill ask permission to add them About the shine: Perhaps you already knew this, you can regulate how much shiny something is with the alpha channel of the normal map(if the shadertype is Environment Map). Black means no shine, white mean max shine. It works like a specular map: In game: So if you want the leather not to be shiny or less shiny color these parts darker.
