cat210803 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Getting Error(53) when running FNIS and can’t do consistence checks. I am using mod organiser 2 When I run FNIS, the last line is the error below: ERROR(53): Could not find file 'D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\temporary_logs\DebugData.txt'. I know that Debugdata.txt doesn’t sound that important but I think this might be a problem. For 1 I can’t to consistence checks and 2 I am having trouble getting creature animations to work (I have creatures pack) and maybe this is related. Does anyone know how to fix Error(53)? I have seen older threads about this but they didn’t help. I have also reinstalled FNIS twice.
Uncle64 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Seems that your AV may interfear whit Fnis. Do you run Fnis in Admin mode? One old issue Temporarily disable your anti-virus and see if that fixes the issue. From the FNIS description: Error 53 (File not found): You probably have an incomplete installation -> Re-Install FNIS Behavior. If the problem persist then then this can be caused by an AntiVirus program giving a false positive (WebRoot and SuperAntiSpyware have caused a lot of trouble in the past). Deactivate your AV during FNIS installation.
MysticDaedra Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Turn off Windows Defender Real-time protection. Settings>Update & Security>Windows Security>Virus & threat protection>Virus & threat protection settings (manage settings link)>Real-time protection set to off.
