Outdated or None skyrim install detected error message on bootup for sexlab

So I get this error message when skyrim boots up telling me I'm not using the correct version. I'm fairly certain this error message is IN FACT correct (No shit huh?). Here comes the hard part. I play skyrim VR. This is usually not a problem for almost all mods. After sleuthing for a couple hours and being stumped, I finally figured out that I get this error code because loverslab is designed for Special edition and AE. I didn't think this would be a problem because VR is just SE with a couple extra bits. Now however I find that SKSE VR is on version 1.4 whereas SKSE64 for regular ol' SE is sitting at version 1.5. This is a problem that I can't find a workaround for. I figure that using an older version of sexlab would possibly work but would also issue its own set of problems....anyone got help going forward? A bit stumped here. Am I doomed to not use sexlab with VR?
