Elden Ring - Deathbed smalls

Hey , I'm a bit of a nooby when it comes to basic inventory editing with hex editing tools but that aside. I'm trying to add an item called deathbed smalls to my inventory and for anyone who has played Elden Ring I'm sure they know what these are. So I've attempted to add it by dropping it on the ground but it shows up as a rubbish pick up that turns into nothing. The NPC is scripted to drop the item if you kill them but there in a non combat area. Anyone have any insight to how to ether disable this protection in that area or to add the item to the inventory? Any help would be appreciated. I user CosMos to edit but am familiar with what ever.
