Disappearing stuff

I've had this issue for a while now and I'm not sure if it's a game bug or mod bug, but sometimes I'll place down a shower (for example) and as soon as I place it it vanishes.

I'm also having issues with the Cherry Pie Cum Mesh, as that does not appear to be showing up when it used to work fine before. The only reason I mention that here as well is I'm wondering if the two are connected somehow.

well...
I would say it's a mod/cc bug.

Have you tried removing all mods/cc? repairing the game via Origin?
start a new savegame without any mods/cc installed and try again... if it's fixed, you need to find the mod that's causing it.

I gues your game and all your mods are up-to-date, yes?

It's been a little bit since I've updated it. I don't like doing that very often because it tends to break things however I suppose that could be causing the issue. The mods in question are all from at least 3 years back (minus the Cherry Pie Cum Mesh) so I'm wondering if those mods could just be outdated in some way, I'll have to see which one's they are and list them here to see if it's just me or if other people are getting those problems as well.

script mods really need to be updated with the game version... sadly

CC it depends. But I would recommend to "update" the CC as well, best use Sims4Studio - it somehow does update CC, I don't know how, but it can :D

How would that work though? Do I just have to open the file and re-save it or is there more to it than that?
