Molfen2 Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 So i decided to re-install Skyrim SE today and mod the heck out of it. I installed bodyslide through "Mod Organizer 2" and followed a video online. I guess it's fair to say that i must've gotten confused along the way, even though i feel like i did everything completely right. I open bodyslide through the MO2 executable and set the sliders to what i prefer, i then click on batch build. I have physics installed so i just enabled every single file in there. I then click "Build" and wait for it to build the batch. I then open my game through SKSE and i still end up with the default body. When i re-open bodyslide studio all of the changes i've made has been set back to the default sliders. I used Bodyslide in Fallout 4 a while ago and everything worked like a charm. The tutorial i followed on Youtube: I just dont get why he's mod organizer is in he's Skyrim folder. Mine is located in my "\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer"... Urrrrgh im so confused.
DarkFlame277 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Try this: Ignore everything he said about Game Data Path, textures, and the overwrite folder. Keep BodySlide's "Game Data Path" as the SSE's Data folder "C:\Steam Library\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\" or whatever the path is for you, NOT MO's overwrite folder. This will allow you to be able to see your textures again. You will never need to change this if you use BodySlide the way I'm telling you, and you will always see your textures. Then, whenever you want to build a body, clothing, or whatever, either through the "Build" button or the "Batch Build" button, hold CTRL when you click that button. This will let you choose a specific folder where you want to save your builds. I usually choose the mod folder for whatever mod I'm building. Example: If I'm building the CBBE body I will hold CTRL when clicking the Build button, then navigate to MO's mods folder, choose the CBBE folder, and save straight to there. You should also make sure the mod your building is enabled in MO and that nothing is overwriting the files you want to use. And that you're running BodySlide through MO. Let me know if this helps or not or if you don't understand anything. Also, it doesn't matter where MO is installed. Where you have yours is perfectly fine.

I do exactly what you tell me to but i still end up with the default CBBE Body. I "Ctrl" click on the batch build option and save it directly to the "Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-" folder. One thing that's bothering me is that when i go in-game and i create my character through the racemenu, i click finish. I take my characters prisoner outfit off and i see the slim body type.. I specifically chose the "Curvy" option when downloading CBBE. I have attached a picture of the mods that i have installed. Just in case you see something that i dont.

So i figured out that i am able to do all of this, in-game through the Racemenu morphs. Im certain it will create problems with modded outfits etc. In the future, like clipping etc. I wish i could figure out what's wrong with my bodyslide, since nothing changes or applies in game.
Just Don't Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Why complicate things that much? Install BS in MO2 as any other mod Add the BS executable to MO2 Launch BS through MO2 and batch build all your sets with the preset you want Files should be created into your \mods\<mod name> folder if they already exist (example CBBE SE comes with some sets already built) or in Overwrite if the sets are new files, in which case you can leave them there or move them into a separate mod. You don't need to change any filepath or force BS to create files into a specific folder.
Just Don't Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 0:33 - you start editing the sliders for the selected preset. You need to save these changes, otherwise they won't be applied. 0:43 - you press Build for the CBBE Body set using the CBBE Curvy preset without saving the changes. 2:13 - you create a female nord with weight 0, at 2:25 you see a female nord weight 0 with the default CBBE Curvy preset. So you're getting exactly what you built. If you want to edit the preset you need to save these changes before building anything. And as I said before, at 0:47 you press CTRL + Batch Build? (later it asks you to choose a location save files, 1:21). You don't need to do this, although this is unlikely to cause your current issue, it could cause problems if later you keep doing this while using multiple mods providing BS files other than CBBE alone (then you would be effectively accumulating all the built files into CBBE and if you remove the other mods these files will stay in the CBBE folder). edit: also, you mention having physics installed, yet you're building "CBBE Body" and not "CBBE Body Physics" or "CBBE Body Special". Hint: you want one of the later 2, CBBE Body isn't physic enabled.

I made my changes saved it and built my body. Went in-game and changed my weight and voilà it worked.
