Finally got back to the Lab

Greetings to all!

I finally have taken the time to get back to the forums at the Lab, but first, a big THANKS, to
those modders that have keep the Oblivion side of the Lab up and running.

It has been a long time for me. About 5-6 years ago I was having so much fun with the LL mods and
teaching myself how to mod Oblivion, that I thought I had learned enough to help out in the forums.
I wrote the “How to use Mod Organizer” post, which Gregathit graciously stickied in the
General Discussion forum.

Sometime during the next year, I was on the Interstate and was forced off the road by a 10 wheeler,
in high wind conditions, into a guard rail, did a nose stand and spun, landing on my wheels. Turned
off the engine, and got out, thankfully, without a scratch.  But it turned RL upside down for several
years. And the last two years we all know about.

Anyway, I have finally retired and have lots of free time!

These last couple of months, I have been updating all my mods, testing and tweaking. And today
I got more updates to work on.

I have found a dialog issue in the PK Supplement (minor) and will post the details in the LP forum.

Have been troubleshooting animation CTD’s while training slaves. I may have the issue pinned down.

And last, in one of my old posts, I briefly mentioned that I had started working on a new 
world space for the Lab. After completing the BU quests several times, I kept thinking???, what next?
It seemed to me that there should be some sort of “Follow On” for completing the final journey.

Introducing - Paradise Island, aka “Slavers Paradise”.  I came up with a historical story line and 
started learning terrain building, etc. That project made it up to version 66, and since retiring,
I have been working on it every day (now V80, with sometimes 10 - 20 sub versions in each one). 
But I will post the details in a separate thread.  It is a long way from being done, but won’t be
too long before it will be ready for modding help.

Hm...  a new quest/storyline mod?

 

Reading your other recent post, you're likely familiar with LST.  While working on it, I found it was made in tandem with BravilUnderground... even being the same one mod when first designed.

 

Will your Isle have LST as a master/requirement?  Or any other requirement besides LAPF?  Quacks wanna know    >o__

Well, I had planned on making it dependent on completion of BU for starters, And there are several other mods including LST that I would like to incorporate.

 

I have almost finished typing up a WIP preview post to give an idea of where I am and to give others an idea of what could be done.

 

Hopefully, after I proof read it one more time, I'll get the post up sometime in the morning.

You may note that I have a BU Update mod.  Basically, fixing some grammatical errors... some racial ones (given that two sisters come from Valenwood and should be BOSMER and neither original nor Non-MBP aren't), and some additional content.  So you may wanna check it out.  Oh... and...

 

 

 

 

 

Yep, Gil may get vocal with ya... if I get enough done for a release.

I generally use Firefox.  Sometimes after an update, this website doesn't display properly, So have to use a different browser and hope it works. Haven't figured this one out yet.  Also for some reason I don't get email updates to posts I follow.

 

Yes, I have that mod.  Just updated all the changed mods and I remember reading in one release comment about needing a game restart. I'm doing that before I get to the point of modding again. One of the old "cheat sheets" for BU talked about a couple of LST quests interfering with Guild quests, so always do the Mage's and Fighter's Guild quests to prevent problems. On the LST side, I join and do the initial Baptism, Alexi's first job to be able to pack slaves, the first training quest, then off to the main quests. I will sometimes do some of the side quests in BU as I go along, but when I get the FG quest done to help Lord Rogbut, then back to LST.  At some point will help, to get the Reanimate spell and capture named baddies during some of the quests.

 

I am also trying to make sure I got the new LC25 installed properly. So far, female imps and zombies?.  Oh, and I like the Voice packs!

 

Wow, I just noticed. Last night when I did a quick read the audio for Gil showed 0:00/0:00  on the sliders. Now they show a number of seconds, and Gil actually talked to me!

The Bravil Addon I made is still not complete.  I found a few more typos.  And I think some BU dialog should be separated for a Khajiit variant as characters like HanPL do refer to themselves as 'This one" rather than 'I'.  And... if you're playing a female and should be Mistress.  Gender wasn't considered.  Vocal packs for both MBP Original, Non-MBP Edit, and a separate BU Addon pack is thus being considered.

Actually, I have a second set of Gil dialog... if I used my Genderbender spell to change... Her.  Yep, I got the Altmeri female vocals too.

 

And I am kinda using 'Haskill's' voice for Tlass.  Haven't figured out who to use for John. :D
