Sims 4 relationships

Hello Everyone

 

I stopped playing for a while, and now i continued with my old family, i have updated everything (WW, bvasemental drugs, basic game.....) this family was 3 guys married to each other with Kids, and their Kids also had kids..... but now i realize that all relationships are removed, guys are no longer married to each other (just soulmates) and some of them are no longer recognized as father of the kids and grand parents anymore.

I also realized that i cannot ask them anyone to get married, even if the open relationship option is on in the WW settings, does anyone have an idea of what could happen?

With long overdue Game updates and Mod updates there is a greater chance that saves can get messed up along with Wicked settings being reset to defaults.

 

Best way IMO is to install MCCC Mod and use it to cheat old relationships back to what you want.

 

Make sure one of your played sims is selected/active.

Click on another sim and select the MCCC menu > Relationships > Add Relationship

(Be sure to read the top part as to which sim you're adding a relationship to).

 

Normally you should see options for...

Brother

Father

Son

Spouse

etc.

 

Since you're only dealing with male family sims you most likely won't see any feminine types of selections.

 

Sometimes you can add family relationships in CAS but I found quite often it doesn't show the selection I wanted.

Thank you very much for your answer, so i have downloaded MCCC and funnuy thing is that i have all options to change all relationships, except for spouse. i have tried in other families with less complicated history and spouse option is not apprearing anywhere.

 

I am really wondering what is happening in my game, seems like nothing is working well for love. any idea? i have downloded last time i've played something to add romantic interactions, maybe this comes from this, but actually i do not remember what file it is.

Hard to tell what's going on but Romance and Marriage are typically Game functions not affected by Wicked Whims very much.

 

It's possible you have another Mod installed preventing it but that's a long shot.

 

More likely your sims, or the save, got corrupted with all the updates.

You could try starting a new game and test to see if it works on a fresh save.

If not then it's likely another Mod blocking it.

 

You could also try cleaning your original save game.

Move all your Mods to your Desktop in a new folder named Temp.

Delete your localthumbcache.pkg

Load your old save but only to the Map Screen and not into your household.

Then do a 'Save As' 'Cleaned' or Whatever.

Delete the localthumbcache again.

Move Mods back into game and test again.

 

If still not working you will have to remove Mods using the 50/50 removal method to see if something else is blocking the Marriage cheat.

Test with 50% of Mods/CC removed but don't make any new saves with Mods removed just exit when done.

 

Then test in game with the other half of your Mods removed as above.

I'd keep MCCC installed throughout the whole process so you can test the Marriage cheat.

 

If it's another Mod preventing Marriage it should start working when you test with other Mods removed.

Then you have to keep splitting the 50% over again to narrow it down further.

 

You can also try doing an Origin/Steam Game Repair as a last resort in case your game files got corrupted.
