Epyon# Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 For any moders that are interested. That would look dame sexy on any charecter if it is possible. Cbbe, unp, bbp or any type for that matter. Is it possible to get the water affect on the bodies like it is in she shower sceen?
Phygnos Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 For a plain shine effect, adjust the specular map for the relevant body part. I've heard some people modify the glossiness modifier on the nif, but I never had much luck with it. For wet/sweaty effect just search nexus for "sweat"
Monsto Brukes Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 but water running over a surface will require a lot of work. The only truly running water in the game is that stream and i'm positive that the effect is part of the mesh.
lordofthedread Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Weird I never shined that much under my shower personally.... must be the space water or something
Khiropter Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 that shine can be achieved by changing the glossiness in enb But if you want sweaty body look for fair skin here on ll or sweaty body on nexus.
Wast1980 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Something like this was done for Oblivion http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/2909/?. It uses a magic effect shader ----> edit a effect texture to something like pouring water drops. And someone would have to write a script for SKSE, with events like "if weather rain ---> start wet shader" (I don't know anything about SKSE scripting, so please excuse my silly example).
lordofthedread Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Theres already dripping effect with this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27563//?, if this mod can detect when you went into water or under rain then it is definitly doable.
Epyon# Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 I have used that one before. Not quite the same. It conflicted with a nouther mod. Not sure which one it was. I had to take it off : /
lordofthedread Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I didnt said it was the same, just that it contains scripts detecting if you get wet or not.
Epyon# Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Was hopeing a modder here would be interested in making a water/body mod that would move down a body like in the video when at a watterfall or how the bodies look in the water could look in skyrim when it rains and such.
n3zum1 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 well wet and cold already have this effect, kinda, when you are in a snowstorm you character gets all covered in a white layer of snow, and when you get wet ( in the rain or on the water) drips start to fall from the characters. I think that its not that complex to "mod that mod"
Eleglas Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 but water running over a surface will require a lot of work. The only truly running water in the game is that stream and i'm positive that the effect is part of the mesh. You're right. Flowing water isn't possible, the game engine isn't built for it. Any water effect you can see in game is simply a model with some texture magic on it. Wet skin however is possible, but we would do that through specular textures like those from the sweat mods. It's all a trick, illusions to make you think it's the real thing. Oddly enough flowing water wouldn't have been too much of a hassle for Bethesda to add to their engine and make it so much better. But then again, the Skyrim engine is a bunch of crap anyway.
NBIemand Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I do believe it is possible to create a water FXshader for this purpose... combined with the detection of the wet and cold mod this shouldn't be too problematic I believe. I don't know the specifics, but I do know there are shaders that get applied to the character by spells or enchantments, and I do know you can edit those shaders. So making a water shader should be possible, and I doubt it'd be hard to apply that shader to the character when they get wet.
