Porkey Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 To put it shortly, was wondering if it would be possible to remove facepaint/warpaint from different NPC's or generic enemies etc, like the facepaint orcs almost always have. Tried looking in the game files and deleted some stuff, no luck. I haven't seen a mod for it yet, nor do I know how I'd go about removing them so any help would be appreciated ?

To archive what you want i think you would need to make a bandit overhaul or find one... Other then that, on individual npc´s the newly added Proteus remake on nexus might help

The game merges all of the overlays on the face with the face texture itself and stores it all as a single dds file. You can't just change a setting and remove paint or dirt. What you can do is try to edit it by hand in some texture editing program or replace the existing face textures with different ones.
ttts1 Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Yeah, the only way I know to do what you want is Proteus, which was previously mentioned. But you'd need to use it on every NPC you want to change. I never did figure out how to use Proteus when I tried it, so I just stopped trying to use it.
