Sims won't have sex, under any circumstances

Every time I try to make my Sims have sex, there is always a problem of some kind that prevents it. I get various messages, including;

 

“The current situation X and X are in doesn’t allow to initiate sex”

“X refuses to have sex with X as their relationship isn’t strong enough”

 

Or, when I try to initiate sex, nobody on the lot shows up in the panel of people the Sim would choose sexual partners from. And even when they do show up, when I try to initiate sex I get a message telling me of a reason why sex can’t be initiated, such as there being no suitable animation, or that the Sims selected are not able to have sex at this time because they’re busy, etc.

 

In addition, I have Nisa’s Wicked Perversions, and when a client calls to have sex and I invite them around, they either don’t show up, or, if they do, they refuse to have sex and I get one of the previous messages telling me why sex can’t take place. They don’t have the “Call Center Client” appear when I hover the pointer above them.

 

Things worked fine yesterday, and I have installed nothing in between yesterday and today.

 

What could the problem be?

Have you downloaded an animation list? If not I use Mike24 personally, as it doesn't need any other mods to work

Also make sure you have the most current version of the mod.  

As to the relationship thing I am positive there is an option somewhere in the WW settings 'sims always say yes to sex'

last maybe try using 'reset sim' in MC Comand Centre(which is really a must if you are going to mod this game)

I have a number of animation lists, including Mike24's, and they're all up-to-date. I have the most current version of WW. I have it so that Sims always say yes to sex. I can try using the reset sim option in MC CC, and will see that goes.

I I tried resetting the sim, but the problem remained. I have discovered, though, that there is no problem when it comes to sims playing with themselves.

Make sure your don't have this mod installed as it screws up Wicked Whims...

Sims3_Melencolic_Highlight_5 or something like that.

 

And also try Wicked Settings > Sex Settings > Autonomy Settings > Autonomy Intensity: Extreme

I don't have that mod, and changing the autonomy settings didn't fix the issue.

You could also try deleting the Wicked Saves in your Saves folder.

Then move Wicked Whims Mod folded to desktop for now.

Delete your localthumbcache.pkg in your TS4 folder.

Run the game now and after loading your household do a 'Save As' 'Testing' or whatever then exit game.

Delete the localthumbcache again and re-install WickedWhimsMod again.

(Sometimes the WW settings/data get messed up when updating WW or the game itself).

 

OR

 

If that doesn't fix things try removing all your other Mods/CC except for WW + Animations.

Delete the localthumbcache again and test with only WW + Animations installed.

(It's still possible another Mod is preventing WW from working properly)

(Nisa's WIcked Perversions can also block normal WW casual sex especially if that sim is a prostitute).

I tried those ideas, and neither worked. I even tried starting a new game, and that didn't work either.

 

It's possible that my Wicked Whims settings have somehow been altered, but I'm not sure how, because I never touched them between things working and then not working.

It turns out that my Wicked Whims settings were reset. I don't know how, though, because I haven't touched them in ages. Anyway, I've put them back to what they should be, at least as best I can remember, and things seem to have returned to normal.

Good to hear. If you have issues with MC Comand Centre, they have a very active and helpful discord, not sure about WW though.

They often get reset with major updates when he adds, or changes menus, and features.

The settings also reset to defaults whenever you start a new game too.

In this case it helps to use Wicked > Control > Export once you have your settings tuned and then use Import when starting a new game.

Hi! I ran into EXACTLY the same issue.

 

Regular option to WooHoo still works. 

 

Could you please clarify which options did you change for WW to work?

 

I have had WW for only a short period of time with Mike's animations and it has always worked. I don't think I have modified settings much at all.. But when I started a new game, other Sims started to refuse WW sex (saying exactly the same things as you stated above) even when I had Woohoo'ed several times with them.

I have Wicked Perversions and found out that making my playable sim a prostitute (modders phrasing not mine) gives that same message. I had to use the cheat “nisa.unslut firstname lastname” and now my sim doesn’t get rejected for sex anymore.

I was also having this issue and this worked for me.

I take it back. What that does is remove your sim from the prostitution system. So if you want to be a prostitute you'll have to start over.

Is the prostitution system glitched or something? I’m still having these issues with any sims that were entered into the system.

Oh my god, You saved my life, but instead of typing that command I simply went to the computer went to Tam Tab and went to Lost eden and just unregistered my account for 15,000 simeleons and it fixed everything! 

 

Apparently Wicked Perversions' prostitution bars you from having casual sex other than your clientele's and your significant other.
