falunfon Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 For RP purposes I have been looking for alternative options to standard Orcish gear, preferably something of the red variety and is standalone. I have seen Orc armor visuals improved, remodeled versions Orcish Female Armor Remodeled CBBE BodySlide and Orcish Warchief Armor, and two mods that do mess with color. Green Orcish Armor which just makes the set greener and Steel Orcish Armor which just removes color. There is also 2K Female Orcish armor Color Overhaul but it's for Oldrim and it seems to be more purple than red. None of those really fit what I am wanting for the lore I am trying to build with my character and how I'm trying to play them. They don't affect weapons either which is something I am looking for, just the shield if anything. Really even if it was just a red version of the armor and weapons that would be perfect. Does anyone know of a mod that has what I'm looking for? Is it possible to whip something like that up real quick? I'm trying to figure out my options here.
venomr Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 If its only a texture, you should be able to open the .dds file with something like "Gimp" and adjust the colors as much as you want.

But I simply have no confidence in myself as a graphic designer to make the changes I want to see happen. However much of a cop out this may or may not be the skills to execute any of this is beyond me which is incredibly defeating and I have tried many times since Skyrim's release to do any of this to varying degrees of failure. At this point I'm willing to donate to someone to make this happen because I simply cannot do it myself. If no one willing to help then I simply must accept it.

Wouldn't it be as simple as selecting the layer and then adjusting the hue? (top of the screen, the "colors" drop down menu, then choose " hue - chroma" ) That would evenly change the color of everything.
falunfon Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 Correct, but beyond that. I'm talking making sure it actually looks nice and not janky. Actually making it a stand alone mod as well I've had problems simply getting started on that. I'm in over my head. Again, the comprehension of the tasks required to do what I am wanting is not lacking. It's simply the ability to execute it.
