Monster Pheromones


Simple small item mod that forces your pet into participating a sexbound node.

The nodes include mind controlled NPCs, Defeated monsters or Sexbound Beds

Use by double clicking on desired node with item selected and pet out.

 

You can aquire this with cheat "/spawnitem Pheromones 99".

Also they have small chance of spawning in common loot pools.

 

I am releasing this as it is, if you have any good ideas for fluff - let me know (Maybe a good blueprint recipy)

 

Known Issues:

Spoiler

- Pet participating in a node will not be despawned/won't delete the node if you unsummon the pet. This can cause pet being able to interact with his "clone"

However this also allows two of your different pets to interact with each other, so for now this will remain for ease of use.

 

- You need to double click on the node for it to work

 

- Monsters will not appear on bed solo due to lack of sprite.

 

- Clicking the same pet on same bed out will waste pheromones

 

- While you can put 3rd actor into a node of 2, you will have no way of controlling it, as entering as 4th will break the node.

 

- While on bed you have access to all poses, even if the monster you are with dont support them. This will cause visual unpleasanties.

And there it is, i was wondering if you were gonna share your mods, not like i'm one to speak, since i've been slacking on the Teratophilia front, but thanks for the release, and great mod!

And yeaah.. to be honest I was putting this one off for no reason. Partly cause a bit scared to actually release something, partly cause I was wondering if I could implement more things first.

I am not sure I will (at least soon) so I just packed whatever is currently functional.

 

As for the bed sprite.. haha. Actually I dont know where they would go even? And to be fully honest the functionality on bed is.. more of a happy accident that I decided to test during development. That reminds me to add another known issue though..

At least a placeholder with default OUCH sprite would work, just gotta figure out where to put it.

Also I AM getting prepared the pov scene mod thingy, I think I'll wrap up *at least* a static scene for *at least* every terraphilia vanilla creature and then upload it. Who knows maybe someone will also be interested in that kind of artistic implementation to make arts. (Well just because there's a bit more freedom than in just overworld sprites or regular PoV)

 

And after that I am probably gonna be working on tools to make work for overworld sprites easier.. to then finish the expansion that we got from that one other user that I keep forgetting the name of :(

I love the idea.  However, it doesn't seem to be working for me.  No matter how fast I click, I can't get my pet to use any sex nodes.  Are there any known mod conflicts that I should be wary of?

What pet are you trying out? Monsters with no support will not do anything and also will consume the item

Is the item consumed?

Do you have any mods that change pet system? Maybe allow multiple pets out?

Do you have any companions out maybe?

... and also you can post the log!

 

And there is likely to be some conflicts that I am not aware of, given I am still pretty green in the modding here, so info would be nice!

I tried it using a Gleap, since it's the most basic monster supported by Teratophilia.  I've tried using it on a Sexbound bed, a normal bed modified with a Sexbound addon, a defeated monster, and a monster turned into a sex node via the Imbued Aphrodite's Bow, but the Pheromones item wasn't consumed in any instance, and the pet didn't react.  I started a new character to test this, so I don't have any companions or other pets.  As for mods that affect pets, I don't think there should be any, but maybe there's one that does so without my knowing about it.  I've attached the log file here.

 

I do have quite a few mods, but as far as I'm aware, there shouldn't be any that cause an incompatibility.  I've added notes to each of the Steam Workshop mods, to explain what they do.

Oh man, this is super embarrasing :O

 

Thank you for actually mentioning it, and here I thought people were quiet cause it worked xD

 

I uh.. forgot to move some of the patches and scripts from my sandbox mod, and when testing it worked because it was loading needed stuff from there.. oops?

Just redownload it, should work now. This is a lesson for me for the future to remove all my mess first before testing.

It actually still didn't work for me.  Unfortunately, I don't have time to take care of the readability on my log files this time, but can you also please make sure the files were successfully updated?

Well.. I actually dont even see mod usage on 1 3 4 5 logs.

and in log 2 you seem to be using old version..

 

Send the just .log, that is actually the latest one created by closing the game.

..are you sure you redownloaded it?

A great mod by me it works fine and finally i can breed my pets ^^. What i figured out if you put a "Pet Tethering" on the ground and put a female monster (as a sample Smoglin) use Aphrodites bow and hold a Smoglin male in his balls in your quick slot. After using the bow and the female is "Bewitched" let your male Smoglin come next her use "Pheromones" and the male smoglin breed the female smoglin. Defizit: After the male Pet is finish with the animation you cant see him on the ship (but he is there only invisible. Use your pet pod and summon him back) and then wait a few days and the female smoglin bears smoglins if you have not luck the born smoglin attack you. But it works with "Adult Poptop (Male and female) "Mitzitaur X Smoglin (male) and so on. ^^

I am actually amused this functionality works.. and well.. was coded to be supported, but no-one really ever have made a way to make pet-on-pet stuff possible without weird workarounds.

 

I'll try seeing what I can do about after-animation disappearance.

Thanks but i have forgot to write "If you use a weapon and hit on your Pet the animation while your pets are breeding stops but then the male one is invisible. But Great work. I like this mod and i hope you dont quit making more of this mods (or different mods) If i can bring up a Idea how is it it exist a mod where you can see if you have sex with a monster (or different citizen) the X-Ray version of their walls and womb and the player can see if he cums inside, in the womb if there is a ovum or not (and maybe how the sperm fertilized the egg. How as a sample Overtopia i know it is a different game) but it would be nice or cool if that exist in a mod too ^^. I know you work hard on this mod but this idea would not be bad if i can say the truth.

Yes, I apparently uploaded the wrong log file.  In my defense, I did delete the old log files, to ensure that I was putting up the most recent one, not expecting Starbound to regenerate the old ones for no apparent purpose.  I made a new character this time, so that I could use the name to ensure that it was the correct file.

 

I didn't have any NPCs to try it on this time, but I attempted using the Pheromones item on a compatible monster transformed with the Aphrodite's Bow, on another such monster transformed using the Defeat mod, and on a Wooden Table.  Each time, the item wasn't consumed, and the pet didn't react.  I was able to use the Wooden Table myself, so it probably wasn't an issue of the main Sexbound mod breaking.  I forgot to test the monster sexnodes, but I assume they also would have worked properly.

 

Just to be sure, to use this mod you have to have your pet out of its Capture Pod, have the Pheromones in your hand, and double-click the sexnode, right?

Yes, that is how you use it.
And once again, I do not see my mod being updated in your log.

 

Check the mod folder:

MonsterHormones/player.config.patch should be there

and

MonsterHormones/scripts/PetsGetter.lua 

 

If you do have both of those file and it still doesn't work then let me know.

If you don't - redownload the mod.

I actually just figured out what the problem was when I went to go check whether I had the files you mentioned.  The Monster Hormones folder was, itself, extracted into another folder called Monster Hormones when I unzipped it, so while the Pheremones item appeared when I spawned it, apparently it couldn't find the code to actually use it.

Oh. Yeah that would mess up dependancies.

 

Now I don't know what is better - pack it in a folder or without xD 
(I personally kinda get annoyed when people don't pack things in a folder..)

But that's another thing to keep in mind for future I guess.

doesn't seem to work only spawns a green perfectly generic item i redownloaded multiple times and checked to make sure i had all the files in the right place if needed i can provide a log file please help thanks

The mod seems to be imported correctly..

 

Sure you entering command right? Pheromones with s at the end. Doesn't seem that your log has any double definition error either..

yea ive tried spelling it different ways such as /spawnitem monster pheromones 99, /spawnitem monsterpheromones 99, /spawnitem monster pheromone 99, and /spawnitem monsterpheromone 99

I will admit, it took me reading this to finally understand that the reason I kept getting green cubes was because I was typing pheromones without a capital letter.

 

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me - but that could very well be due to my using a modpack that includes FU on Steam.

You can try posting log.

 

Also you sure you extract the folder without created a folder inside?
