johnny2by4 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 i'm guessing something is overwriting something else, but truthfully I have no idea. followed the guides here to mod the game (thanks all by the way), and everything seems to be working quite well. but when I went to the SO bunker store to look at some of the armor I noticed that several pieces I try on are invisible, and i'm not perfectly sure why. my guess would be it having something to do with SCR or bouncing breasts type 3 armors. a specific example I can remember off the top of my head involves Julia chang outfit, I downloaded/installed the textures/meshes without the esp file like suggested in SCR yet it still shows as invisible. another question I've got is if I should be using http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44711/? along with the bb type 3 armors mod, would this cause a conflict (it seems like it would). I ask since both were in the SCR post and it didn't really specify if you were supposed to choose one or get both. i'll post load order since I think i'm supposed too. thanks for any help. RitualClarity Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 First Question: Invisible armors, bodies etc usually means that you are missing files that are required. Check again to make sure that you have all the files required and that you cycled through Archive Invalidated to be sure. If you have indeed followed all the instrucitons and have all the armors and clothing installed and stil there are missing meshes post a queston on those armors on the Sexout Store tech support site. Second question. Stick with one body type and match the armors with them. If you want 3M use 3M armors etc. Otherwise the armors might not fit correctly causing clipping and such. EDIT: I noticed several esp that aren't suppose to show up in the load order if you installed the mods according to the instructions. Check again.
Halstrom Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 The purpose of SSR is a lite version of SCR for people who's systems can't run SCR, don't use both.
johnny2by4 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 The purpose of SSR is a lite version of SCR for people who's systems can't run SCR, don't use both. huh, i have no idea why that is even there. i knew that going in, and i don't remember downloading ssr (though i went a little crazy downloading stuff yesterday so i guess i f'ed up). can i just disable it with fomm, would i need to reinstall scr to replace anyghing it might have overwritten?

And if you don't have any mods that require SSR, you don't really need it. Second question. Stick with one body type and match the armors with them. If you want 3M use 3M armors etc. Otherwise the armors might not fit correctly causing clipping and such. You can use different armors for different bodytypes at the same time without problems, the body is included in the armor mesh so there isn't anything to 'fit'. The only time you might encounter problems is if you're using accessories (Little bits of extra equipment that use slots other than upperbody.) that are made for a different body type than what the armor is using.
johnny2by4 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 maybe i should ask this in the scr topic but since i already have this open and it seems to relate... looking through several of the outfits that dont work i realized that for a majority of them i didn't add the meshes/textures. i'm guessing the reason they are there is because the id (i have no idea what it would be called) is somehow folded into the scr mod, most seem to be from the addon outfits from the bouncing breasts armor addons. since every outfit listed there suggests not deleate the esp file i would guess that holds true for all of the addon outfits, i'm wondering though if it's ok to install the mod (esp and all) with fomm and just not enable the esp in the load order list?
johnny2by4 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 meh, as i do this i'm getting less and less hesitant to just experiment. i think i have this issue figgured out, thanks all for the help!

I agree. However for a newbe it is difficult for them to understand where the body end and the accessories start. It is better for a newer person to have only one type of armor or those armors that are specifically mentioned by the mod creators as assets needed. Otherwise they will be posting shortly .. hey this gun belt doesn't fit correctly. I was told I can use any armor that the armors change out and I don't need to worry about them. I know because I was in the very same boat about a year ago and couldn't figure out why my shoes and stockings were clipping the body I was using..
RitualClarity Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 meh, as i do this i'm getting less and less hesitant to just experiment. i think i have this issue figgured out, thanks all for the help! Experiment. You can do little to harm the computer. At worst case you might have to reload the game. Experimentation is what helped many here understand and learn and ultimately advance to where they are today. If you are using FOMM to install the mods it is even less risky because you can always uninstall the mod and return back to a point before. Game saves are a little more finicky. You should learn how to make "clean Saves" and make them at various points through the game in different combinations. Manually create and name them. Then you can go back and play again and again and experiment to your hearts desire. An added note on experiementation. In the Package Manager portion of FOMM there is an "Edit Info" button. Select the mod of choice and click this button. There you can change the name and add info that you need related to the mod in the mod description. I use this to help remind me of what it is there I can even add installation instructions and other info. Now in the future you can have some notes on what you did and why it was done. Particularly useful for those mods that don't use proper naming or other info needed. If you still find you are missing some textues of bodies etc. Post a question with as much info as possible. Like .. I am in the SO bunker and talking to xxxx vendor and got xxxxx dress. when I put it on i get the invisible body. Can someone tell me where I am to go to get this dress?
