Does LL have a Metaserver?

Hi all, 

 

I'm checking to see if LL offers a MetaServer for use in mod managers to pull mad details and date, like NexusMods does?  I did a quick search in the forum, but nothing popped up around this.

Mod managers don't work with LL. Everything has to be manually downloaded.

Short answer, no.

 

Longer answer:  LL is not set up with a standardized file upload format that handles versioning.  If you look at the download dialogue, you'll see it contains the file name and the date it was uploaded, but not any specific version numbers.  Without something like that mod managers are not able to automatically track if a new version is uploaded.  While it would be nice it would take a rework of the file database, upload and download systems, with all the associated increases in management and oversight.  As nice as it would be, it's not going to happen. ?

thanks, I was thinking it was something like this, but want to ask just in case
