Sexlab scenes not starting

I want to preface this by saying I have downloaded all the required mods that are mentioned as possible causes in other help posts, and I have attempted all fixes that are an option to me. I asked Wujeeta in Riffen to ‘do whatever she wanted to do’ and ‘make love like only two women can. After her dialogue is finished it asks me if we want to use the nearest bed, and then it kicks me to third person and nothing else happens. I can speak to her normally, though the option to request again doesn’t appear. I also can’t interact with any beds at this point. Neither my character nor her strips, but at least she doesn’t go to sleep I guess? I do also have Sexlab Aroused and Sexlab Romance installed, if that is any help. I apologize if this has been answered before, I’ve searched several times and nothing quite matches what’s going on for me.

Grab the papyrus.log after you do exactly the same and post it as attachment.

Possibly important to mention as well: I went into the mod configuration menu and checked the toggle animations and animation editor sections. The former allows me to filter by tag, however there’s nothing except for view, filter by tag, page #, and action. The latter has animation (which is empty, and has no options upon opening), enabled (which isn’t greyed out, however does nothing when clicked), profile, position (defaulted to male 1, however is empty upon trying to change), copy profile(also empty), and play animation (completely greyed out). I’d say it’s an issue with installing the mod, but I distinctly remember installing it.

If that means what I think it means, this alone point to problems, since you *should be able to interact with beds. So, to check, (while not engaged with someone), open console and enter the console command

player.tai

if it responds with and "is off" kind of answer, (I don't recall the exact text it produces), execute the command once more to turn it back on, which is how you want it to be for normal player interactions (player ai is set to off by things like being in a Defeat state due to a lost battle, but it's suppose to "release" the player at some point after the event, ie, turn player ai back on).

If it responded with "is on" the first time, then your interaction problem was caused by player ai being in an off state prior to you issuing the player.tai command, since you just turned it on. When player ai is off you can't interact with beds.

This sometimes happens when a defeat incident is interrupted at the wrong moment, or if you use something like Proteus Project to take control of an NPC. The player ai is set off while you are a captive in the former case (defeat), or operating as the other party in the latter case (Proteus), and in the case of Proteus, (or at lest the version I have installed), due to whatever glitch, it is usually left off even when you transition back to your player, so you have to reenable it yourself (or at least that's how it works on my hackneyed system). And afaik, this incorrect state can in turn interfere with normal SL encounters as well (animation non start). In fact, I think if you had the "right" settings in SL, even that might result in the AI state being set to off during the event, so if the SL animation sequence were interrupted (some external attack, etc) it could also be accidentally left in the off state.

I terms of what happens with beds, or at least nothing happens as a result of clicking E if the button even shows (can't recall right now, it's been a little while since I've experienced one)

Having said this, idk if you're using Skyrim 1.6x, so it may be moot advise due to growing pains in the new version. But fwiw....

BTW, even if this doesn't turn out to be "the answer" this time, (like for instance, if this specific problem turns out to be a 1.6x issue)  keep it in mind in the future anyway. as there *will likely be times when knowing this will come in handy and help you avoid frustrating debug sessions when you suddenly can't interact after a battle defeat (ie non death defeat) or after an interrupted sex scene or even sometimes after a particularly hard hit (stagger) by an enemy (I have no idea why that last one, but it happens to me occasionally and afaik it has nothing to do with Defeat, since it's been happening far longer than I had Defeat installed)

I did give it a shot, and it doesn’t seem to issue, but thank you anyways! I think that’ll be helpful later. I attempted to use Animated Wings Ultimate and the animations don’t work for that either, so I’m betting it’s an issue with FNIS even though I don’t know what. Thank you for your help :)

Hello. From your logs the situation looks clear:

[01/18/2022 - 06:07:36PM] SEXLAB - Thread[0]  - FilterAnimations() BEGIN - LeadAnimations=0, PrimaryAnimations=0
[01/18/2022 - 06:07:36PM] SEXLAB - GetByDefaultTags(Males=0, Females=2, IsAggressive=False, UsingBed=TRUE, RestrictAggressive=TRUE, Tags=, TagsSuppressed=, RequireAll=TRUE)
[01/18/2022 - 06:07:36PM] SEXLAB - AnimCache: MISS -- 0:2:False:TRUE:TRUE:TRUE:[]:[]:TRUE
[01/18/2022 - 06:07:36PM] SEXLAB - GetByDefault(Males=0, Females=2, IsAggressive=False, UsingBed=TRUE, RestrictAggressive=TRUE)
[01/18/2022 - 06:07:36PM] SEXLAB - AnimCache: MISS -- 0:2:False:TRUE:TRUE:TRUE
[01/18/2022 - 06:07:36PM] Info: SEXLAB - FATAL - Thread[0]  - Unable to find valid default animations

Looks like it is a female/female animation. There are plenty of them in the default SexLab. But they may be disabled in the config as "same sex".

Open SexLab MCM and check in the options if you are blocking such type of animations.
