Racemenu presets unavailable

I installed a character preset mod, and when I click the preset tab in racemenu, at the top left it says CharGen presets are unavailable. This is the second racemenu preset mod I've tried. Any ideas why they won't work?

I know that's a pic from in-game racemenu, but I get the same message when I start a new game.

try create a preset and save that may create a folder?

May i ask which Raceversion you have ?

Skyrim AE ?

SKSE AE ?

I tried the AE first, then replaced it with an older racemenu. I also had trouble using the SE version of framework, and had to switch to AE. Had to switch the library to AE, too. Everything else was SE. I have not "upgraded" the game to AE on the main screen, but I did delete the game and re-install it at one point after the patch. I finally have everything working, just not the racemenu preset mods.

Have you looked in the file location to see if there are any presets there?
