OysterMug Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 I still have a lot of old AM rooms made for Hook 4 that can't be used with Hook 5 (if you try to load a H4 room into H5, it comes up totally black. Very annoying.) VX & H4 don't get along very well. They're both memory hogs. I have to disable about 30 of my largest VX Addons just to get a Hook4 room to load without crashing due to an "Out of Memory" error. For years, I've considered writing a simple program to convert H4 "_leveldefinition.txt" files into H5 compatible files, but I don't want to waste my time if there's no interest. I don't have/use H5$, so I won't be converting "H4 Objects" into "H5 Objects" or anything like that. I just want to be able to load all those old rooms again w/o them coming up black. Lights & textures intact. Is there any interest in such a utility? ?
