Got a mod from here, I overwritten it as instruction said, but when I launch the game this appears and won't go away. Am I doing something wrong?

Anyone know why some textboxes/dialogue options just show as "0"?

I'm assuming its probably some problem with either mod compatibility or order, but nothing i tried so far has helped, and its really hard to find anything related to this:

You need to change the language settings to simplified chinese. Btw which mod is  that?

I believe the event is part of the succubus system mod? Translated with the unity autotranslator.

Having to play the whole game in chinese (and then having it translated by the mod) is honestly kinda frustrating, especially because SOME texts obviously work (as seen in the previous screenshot. Do you know of any way have both work?

Okay i actually got it.
For those interested: The underlying problem is, that the mod author didnt add every dialogue option for the english language. Even just an en = "" would be enough, since an "empty" dialogue option just defaults to the chinese one instead. So this is not a "general" problem, but needs to be fixed on a per-mod basis.

 

On the modding discords i've seen a python script that you can run through the decrypted mod files to fix this, but since i'm illiterate when it comes to python, i did it by hand (or rather, with the replace function from notepad++)

 

I decrypted the mod with the decryption mod from the workshop.

Went into the ModExcel folder, used notepad++ to search of any occurences of chinese dialogue options ( "ch":), added an empty "en": "" to them all via some replace shenanigans, re-enrypted the mod, and then all "empty" dialogue boxes had chinese text, which then got translated by the autotranslator.

For anyone also using the latest succubus system mod (As of now Version 2.10.2, there is a MEGA Link to download: https://mod.3dmgame.com/mod/216106) just drop these 2 files into the "ModExcel" folder of the mod, and it should work. Maybe.

I'm browsing 3dmgame.com since that's where a majority of them are, but I have no clue if I have to register to see them and having to translate everything over gets pretty annoying, despite knowing that some of them should be english (as shown in previous posts here in this thread)
