YammiJammi Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Hi Guys, I'm animating in blender and I want to give the sim an expression. Problem is, she's all grey, so it's a little harder to see the expression well. The rig I'm using is Female_Dagger's_Rig(boobphys) and I'm using blender 3.0. In an older version of blender this didn't happen, she would load with the skin. Is there an option to switch it at all? Thank you! ❤️

This is what happens when I click these options. import material texture to your sim. Material tab --> use nodes --> base color --> image texture --> import fle --> your diffuse texture you can also do that using the shader editor. You will have some issues with importing and exporting using 3.0. I hope you know how to make your work compatible because 3.0 works are not compatible with lesser versions, even if there's a way to transfer work to them, but it's more difficult than 2.9X to 2.7X.
Khlas Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 also you can use this template as diffuse texture, not nude but it seems that you are working on something that don't really need nude texture anyway you import this texture for every part of your mesh.

Thank you so much for helping me out! I am an absolute beginner so thanks for your patience. I tried finding the materials tab but I don't see one there. I tried looking at your screen to see what tab you had opened and it looks like world properties. I followed your instructions up to image texture but I can't see import file anywhere

World properties is for importing a custom scene. A background.

As for selecting, do you mean using the select box tool and dragging it over the sim?

Material only appears when selecting Objects as u can see in the gif above.
Khlas Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Also, I recommend you to change the view from orthographic to perspective. Because the sims 4 use perspective view. I made a quick gif to show the difference : Don't make the animating process worse, make it more comfortable it will change your life.
