Ongoing last exception error

Hiya folks,

Here's an error I've spent forever trying to fix to no avail. Hopefully some smarter minds here will be able to solve it. During game play, this only seems to occur within the Culpepper apartments in San Myshuno. When I travel to a different lot and return home, the exception error pops up and my utilities are shut off. The only way to fix the utility issue is to venture to Manage Worlds and return back. But it happens yet again the next time I venture about.

Apartments are glitchy....Problem with the mailbox. You could try deleting it and replacing it with a new one.

Yes, I've noticed. What exactly do you suggest I delete? I've already deleted the apartment and rebuilt it from scratch, same result.

It's the mailbox I'm afraid....don't think you can do a lot about it :(

Could try moving the mailbox but I doubt if that would work.....

I figured it was mailbox related based on the exception file. Don't believe the apt. mailboxes are able to be altered to correct this, shame. But thanks nonetheless.

So, I spent an entire day tracking down this particular bug which I believe I have fixed WHICH TOOK AN ENTIRE DAMN DAY, LITERALLY!. YES, I KNOW I'M SHOUTING, IT REALLY SUCKED SPENDING 20+ HOURS TRYING.....easy, Talk, be nice to the kind folks.....To recap, should anyone else encounter this, here's what was occurring and the solution.

When playing any Sim living in the Culpepper apartments in San Myshuno, MCCC would throw a last exception error whenever entering the lot, no matter from where I'd return from. Over time, the error followed me onto other lots I'd venture to as well. Checking the error logs, as attached above, hinted towards the mailbox being part of the problem. I quickly realized after buying one of the Sims packs that voting on silly things was now a thing when my Sims started wearing paper bags over their heads. After turning that feature off (it needs to be done prior to the start of a fresh game, not during one. Brilliant, AE!) then came the constant errors. I suspect using MCCC to also suppress it further was the root cause though.

Well, what fun little things did I see happen aside from the constant last exception message pop up (which was also an indication a crash is a coming)? Apartment lights not working unless you left the entire world and returned back. Street vendor booths disappearing upon returning with them standing around for hours in the same spot. Whatever festival was taking place when returning also disappearing with tons of Sims looking like "WTF?" Many coffee cups littered in a row across my block's sidewalk and the wonderful constant crashes.

The fix (I hope):

As some may have suspected, after tearing apart every mod, wall, you name it, it was corrupted save files. "Egads, surely you had clean backups for such occasions, my dear boy", I hear you say? Negative, I am stupid like that. So creating a new fresh game and moving Sims and lots over a few at a time as I have a gazzillion of them took FORDAMNEVER.

The motto of today's reading is don't be like Talk Talk and create clean save backups.

Don't use save/exit....use save as then use save from then on...every 10-12 saves use save as again then save...save/exit can go wrong at times and cause a corrupt save....
