Persistent weird bug: Bleak falls barrow entering kills my savegame (ctd on load)

I think i tried about everything but whenever i lay foot into bleak falls barrow, any save afterwards wont be able to load anymore.
Funny thing is to see if i can even do the dungeon, i made a save after killing the first 2bandits inside and coc to riften, saved and could load that game, so i thought i am good to go, played the whole dungeon, got out, saved a bit away and saved again in riften.... no dice. Broken!

 

how can that happen? Its such a weird bug i cant get my head around it. So seems like i ve to console command the items now but what if other dungeons leave such a gamebreaking impact on my play. Its getting to the edge of unplayability with this skyrim mess. Made the switch to se and have much more stable game but then this..

Mh did you cheat yourself the Stone tablet, just to see if it might be the Item that fucks things up and not the dungeon itself?

 
Just throwing useless ideas out, might be very well not helpfull, for that i'm sorry :/

So it seems to happen again when the dragon attacks the tower. Save right before is dead, saves inside like dragonsreach or riftenstable work.

somehow this makes me think of alternate start being part of the issue.

Yeah now my savegames continue to bug out. And i honestly dont think someone will just spot the issue by LO but ill copy it over.

netscriptframework logs arent informative. Its always sth else mentioned given the location of crash (on load)

 

these are 100% load crashes. Gameplay doenst ctd

It could be a mod affecting a specific thing in the game that causes the crash once you get in proximity within the game. 

 

For example, I was helping someone recently who had a CTD every time the got near a spider due to a problem with Spider textures created by a mod.  So anytime they got near where the giant spider spawns in Bleakfalls Barrow the game crashed.  Any spider would cause a CTD, so caves or wilderness with spiders would cause the CTD (even though they never got close to "see" the spider, the game crashed trying to generate one.

 

Not saying it's a spider texture problem, obviously, but just saying it may be something like that. I don't know but just mentioning that as a possibility.  If you are able to play certain areas fine but you crash every time you are in others, it is likely something being generated in the game in those areas.  A creature texture, an armor mod that affects bandits, or any number of other things.

 

If you figure out what mod is causing it by enabling and disabling mods there may be steps to correct it.  (For example, on the spider problem I mentioned earlier there was another mod that would fix it and no more crashes.)

did the last part yesterday for hours but couldnt isolate the problem.

 

the fun fact, i console commanded through the first few MQ stages now (new play) and startet only setting SL and stuff up after jurgen windcaller from high hrotghar.

so far everything fluid. Also less stuttering. Its my feeling this is some script problem. Like i said it happened on the westerm watchtower too and then again when saving at the bee and barb. I think some mods do some weird, calculations.

inn the (jk) bee and barb i noticed when i go downstairs every body chatters at the same time for a while. Annoying.

also many npcs. I use AI Overhaul and High Poly Npcs

i even managed to get a save unloadable in my save spot the riftenstables, so this is very unlikely to be textures but scripts, vanilla or modded or skse
 

 

btw dunno how to spot memory leak but i get 8,7gb ram usage out of 16gb available.

 

if its textures i should ctd at the same save spots this play.

Another thing i noticed in that play when i additem the items goldenclaw and drahonstone, they are twices there in the additem menu.

is that normal? A hint?

the items dont do anything ctd like, just weird there are duplicated

Not sure here but definitely worth investigating the memory aspect.  And yes, if it were textures it would always crash when getting close to something with a texture problem.

I've never used an additem menu mod, not sure what that is so I can't help you there.  If you are talking about just the console command "player.additem ..." then that is weird since it should only add the amount you specify.  If you are adding "1" and it gives you 2, then I've never seen that...but I've only used the console commands on common items in large amounts (Clay, iron, and so on) for building/crafting and always get the exact amount I ask for.

Additem lets you browse all items by all mods installed. Pretty essential.

 

so i tested the new playthrough and have zero issues now saving in or around the barrow. Dont have any load ctds so far.

i didnt change my LO so its rather unclear whats the cause otherwise. 
obviously not textures and not the net script log items either.

 

wish i new to know how to not fu.k up again. Maybe hdt items in inventory or some ZAZ/DD thing or AI.

 

one thing i avoided now is to open showracemenu this time and using vanity mirror. I think i read sth about a mem leak of racemenu but that might have been updated allready. Could also be smp hair changes within a playthrough
