Yeah you can go to xivmodarchive for all your modding needs although I prefer the Tight and Firm gen 3 body personally.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I noted that a lot of the skins on that website replaces a specific gear. is there a way to have the appearance of the gear without having to obtain the gear itself?

 

Also, is there any way to appear naked despite having gear on?

There's "gear" called the Emperor's New X that is effectively just the "nude" body, if you save it to a glamour plate you can have it glam over any gear you have equipped and retain all of its stats. As for having the appearance without obtaining the gear; it should be possible in the tools, just find the tex file and have it replace a different, easier to obtain, piece of gear. Just remember that all of these alterations are client side so to everyone else you'll appear as having just the regular appearance (or a different modded one.)

Great, but the xiv mod archive has a lot of restrictions and a lot of cult-like behavior. For instance, Gaia and Ryne are big no-no's as well as nswf Lala content. The archive is great for most mods. However, the rule makers at the archive just ASSUME Ryne and Gaia are under age by western law. It is never implied what the ages of those characters are in game, and so do not allow nsfw mods of those characters. There needs to be an alternative mod site to handle "hands off" mods like these two characters and others.
Specifically, what I'm looking for are monster mods. There are quite a few nsfw female boss mods out there, but they are far and few between. I would like to find a dedicated modder who knows how to do monsters and raid bosses like Gaia and Ryne/Shiva (in their Savage fight forms in the Eden Raid), and make functionally nude variants. The best modder I know who has tackled boss mods before is no longer interested in doing them unfortunately...

There are some really good mods out there to give you many of these and similar NPC characters' appearances in gpose, but that's all I've ever run across.

 

They keep occasionally being reposted and getting deleted, which is extremely frustrating because the creator didn't want credit and that makes it very difficult to find these if you don't already have them! Here's my reupload. You'll need a tool like Anamnesis to use these, and they're pretty much only useful for screenshot artists like me, but they're pretty good!

Thank you for those! been trying to find some decent npc nude mods for xiv, but it's a gigantic pain because of the cultist modders who shun literally anyone they don't agree with. @_@

 

There really does need to be a site for the stuff the cultists wont touch.
 

I mean, I'm sure there is, but finding it is hell, and I've had no luck.

I agree with using EVE.  It looks the best imho.  I was a little reluctant, I'm one of those rare men that are not a big fan of huge breasts but EVE has a good balance without looking disproportionate.  It does require TexTools though and also keep in mind DO NOT MAKE THEM PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE.  Using mods like this and other 3rd Party tools is a lot like Fight Club.  YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB.  Wanted to post an update to this thread to let people know its also useable in Dawntrail.

Hi, most Lalafell body mods are on the Lala mod archive, that you can get access to by messaging princess_moonie on discord. She will ask you a few questions, before making you an account on the archive (no ID's or anything don't worry, just stuff to weed out people that aren't ok with Lalafells being adults and doing lewd stuff). The archive has also some paid mods, but no body mod is paid.

Not every NSFW Lalafell mod is in this archive, bodies that tend to turn Lalafells very busty and curvy are available on other places that I'll link here.

This all sounds very sketchy, so I am also offering to give out the body mod(s) to people that dm me, if they do not want to join the archive.

The most used Lalafell body mod. Has lost some usage due to some newer bodies, but is still very popular! Has a lot of outfits made specifically for it (most are paid on the archive unfortunately) Respects the original Lalafell shape a lot, and has adjustable breast sizes for those that want it.

Flux:

Originally a genitalia + butt edit of Shapely, now a completely own body on its own. The newer version does not go well with vanilla glams unfortunately, so you will have seams if you try to use vanilla clothing with it possibly... but the old one still works great if you prefer the differences between Shapely and Flux! The newer body also respects the original shape of Lalafells, and follows it pretty strictly.
-Has ivcs support

Shizuku:

A completely different body that doesn't borrow stuff from other bodies, that also is just the game Lalafells, but naked. It respects the body shape of Lalas like the mods mentioned before, with the addition of 3d pubic hair for those that want it (and has more physics going on for parts of the body).

A Shapely edit that gives Lala's *way* wider hips than the original model, and also makes them a bit bustier. No longer updated, but it still works if you'd prefer it over the others.

This one isn't actually that busty! I just forgot about it while listing the bodies out. It still is thick though, and the bodies + outfits are all paywalled, though you might find them through Kemono or something if you're really interested. Be aware that Milala is jankiest out of all the bodies listed, as the body mod itself is changed a lot, and the glams + the body itself are usually on random items.
You get access to all of the outfits + bodies by just paying 5 dollars a month, and you can just pay once if you want all of the current ones. Very affordable compared to the Archive's premium stuff, so please consider supporting them if you download their stuff and end up liking it
-Heavily supports ivcs, even the outfits most of the time

That's all that I am aware of at least! As for why some of the mods aren't available everywhere, I think it is to weed out bad actors. Lalafell body mods had some trouble in the past with xivmodarchive, so a mod archive was probably made to not deal with that.

One extra thing to mention: I only know of the archive mods of having male Lala bodies for sure; I am not sure about the other mods that aren't available there.

There's one problem however, this modder was banned due to at least one mod being of a character that either is or appears to be under 18. So, as far as I'm aware, you can't get their mods without paying them.

 

It's unfortunate too because this modder was the only one that I had seen who had made a nude mod for Miounne, Kan-E-Senna, and Merlwyb (though it didn't look great due to the skin color difference). If you want to see these characters nude without that mod, your only option is to use Anamnesis to remove their equipment. I think I still had those 3 mods in an old pak somewhere, but if I do, it isn't compatible with Dawntrail anyway.

A lot of the mods that person makes wouldn't be allowed to be shared here and they do a double paywall system to that forces you to pay to merely be able to acess the site for any free mods there.

 

That said, considering how greedy they are, none of the sites that leak mods touch the stuff that person makes due to the nsfw mods they make for the small, non-dwarf characters. Ironically, this causes a situation where one of the greediest mod makers doesn't have to worry about people evading the paywalls.
