Problem - 'E' to talk to npc does nothing

Recommended Posts

Is this a known type of problem or should I post modlist?

I can do everything in game but when I go o talk to someone nothing at all happens, also when a courier ran up to me a start a conversation nothing happened. The option when I hove over them is there and it looks like we should talk but we don't.

This is a new game just started a short while ago.

Did a Mod already did something? I know that Defeat can cause this kind of bug sometimes, uninstalling it in it's mcm so all scripts can stop, then disabling it in your mod manager and start he save without it might clear it. After saving you can enable defeat again.

It does not have to be Defeat perse, similar mods might cause a similar bug. If not a Modlist would be of great help, maybe another finds someting that looks familiar

Use this

just a script fix, works for SE, too.

Things like this happen, e.g when saving too early after port, script do not properly terminate.

Before portin, open console and check all scripts finished.

If changing something in MCM, make a save and reload, always !

looks good thanks, I think part of it was I still had logging switch on for an earlier problem so yeah scripts probably over run
