Been having some technical issues with Sims 4 and I recently updated some mods, but now the game won't start at all. The top bar was glitched before, but I managed to play. Earlier today when the game started,I couldn't click on any other Sims,it would just be stuck on the one the game starts you with and there was no menu when you click on anything and nothing shows up in the settings.

The first picture shows the start screen, the list of mods showed up as normal, but nothing in Setting.

Second picture shows the glitched top menu.

Third picture I picked a random household but the game won't start.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the game and clicked on Repair, but it didn't work.

not sure how you have your mod folder set up but i would pull all of the mods that are not items/clothing that sort of thing - leave mccc, wicked, nisa and see if that works.  If it doesnt, pull wicked/nisa/etc and see if that works.  If not, then pull all mods.  And widdle down but i suspect itll be a mod that is a package/script combo - so pull those out (in example - aep photo.package, aepphoto.script).

Also, go into your Mod folder, there should be a mccc exception list that you can check out.  Other than pulling out mods bit by bit until the problem corrects itself, there's no easy solution

first of all... remove all your mods/CC and delete localthumbcache.package

repair or re-install the game (with a complete empty mods folder) and see if the game works (start a new savegame)

If so, move back the mods, step by step, like only a few at each time and start the game again, best is always to use a new savegame (you don't need to save it) and keep trying, until you reach the "broken state" of the game again.

and everytime you add new mods/CC always delete the localthumbcache.package file, so your game is forced to completely reload all mods/CC again
