HowTo: Add Hook 4/5 Support to Linux.

If you are a Linux user (or have been considering moving to Linux but don't want to give up TK17 with Hook), I've updated my documentation (originally published on "Modsgarden" in 2018 in collaboration with "Avarteas") showing you step-by-step how to get Hook working under Linux.

Just getting Windows software to run on a Linux machine requires special software called "WinE" ("The Windows Emulator"... though it's more of a "translator" than an "emulator". Wine does not recreate the Windows desktop.) My tutorial assumes you already have both Wine and TK17 installed & working (easily done.) If you need help getting that far, let me know.

Hook (all versions) requires "DirectX", Microsoft's proprietary graphics libraries specifically for Windows. Linux supports an Open Source graphics library called "Vulkan"... created, supported & maintained by the top hardware manufacturers (nVidia, AMD, Intel & Apple.) A project called "DxVk" ("DirectX to Vulkan") allows you to run DirectX games under Linux with all the fancy graphics by translating DX commands to their Vulkan equivalent (so this tutorial may help with more games than just TK17.)

Getting Hook to work with Linux can be difficult. Wine's own built-in DirectX support is slow and only works about 25% of the time. "DxVk" does a much better job, with emulation running about 80% the speed of running Hook natively on a Windows PC.

Documentation was re-written from scratch using a fresh installation of "Ubuntu Linux" (though it should work with most any Linux distribution.) It has not been tested but should work for most users. Supports both Hook 4 and Hook 5 (should work with Hook 3.97 as well) and TK17 v7.5 & VX. No other software required.

If you have any trouble, encounter any errors, or find something doesn't work right, let me know asap.
