Guest Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I had the same problem and that was caused by having too many mods that modifies npcs and leveled lists. I removed a few of those and it got much better. I can see you have a merge file but is that the same as a bashed patch? If not I recommend to use WryeBash. You should also disable auto-save on travel since that can cause ctds. If you have installed any high quality textures you might need to run the game with the 4gb exe. Instead of all those hotkey and sprint mods I can recommend Project Nevada - http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40040/?. It has a lot of features and you can choose which ones you want in your game. You will be able to replace some of your mods with it.
RedDeadEd Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Thanks nightwolf your suggestions seem to be working. Not sure if a merge file and a bashed patch are the same thing. The merge file is supposed to solve mod conflicts and can be created via nvedit.
DoctaSax Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 They're not the same but they do similar stuff when it comes to merging levelled lists, npc data, cell data and the like. Wrye's bashed patch has the option to throw in some tweaks in addition to what it bashes, but doesn't automatically resolve some conflicts that fnvedit's merged patch does. ('Resolve' not being the same as 'solve', btw.) You can usually combine the two, with merged incorporating bashed. Neither of them are completely perfect, but a vast improvement over having none.
