CBBE To UNP Question...

Greetings All!

 

I have a question regarding Body Mods for Skyrim. Since I originally began modding my skyrim (about 1/2 to 3/4 through my first playthrough, after experiencing 'vanilla'), I have been using CBBE. I compared UNP and CBBE originally and thought that I preferred CBBE overall. I have been playing with that for quite a long time and have been very happy, but recently I was thinking of switching to UNP and/or UNP with BBP.

 

Why? Well, I was thinking of trying something new for one. Secondly, CBBE and UNP have a bit of a disparity in the amount and kind of armors/clothes available.

 

Due to the 'shape' of the CBBE Body, people tend to make more skimpy armors for them. Now, I have used and continue to use and enjoy some skimpy armors, but I also enjoy the lore and feel of vanilla skyrim, and so I use Caliente's CBBE replacement for the vanilla clothing and armor. My central character married Aela the huntress and sometimes I have her dressed skimpy, other times not so...

 

Let me cut to the 'meat' of this post and ask my questions:

 

1. Can someone please explain the various versions of UNP? What is the difference between UNP and UNBP (or is that UNPB?)
2. What are the best/most popular armor mods for UNP? Is there a direct conversion of the vanilla armor and clothing for it? (I already found the dragonborn conversion, which is good cause I use those armors).
3. If I DO switch, is there a way to make my alt Female PC (I usually play male with female companions) be close to the 'bustyness' of CBBE using UNP?
4. If I want to use UNP in my game and then also use SexLab, (which I do), is there anything special I have to do to get the BBP Animations working?
5. In relation to #5, I have Frostfall and use the skeleton that places the quivers on the lower back to keep it out of the way of the backpack. Will this cause any problems with the BBP skeleton?....

Thank you very much for your suggestion, however I really don't need to make my game any more complex than it is. Adding in a secondary body to run alongside the first, along with all of it's necessary/available mods, would be a very large hassle in my mind.

In reality, this thread is so that I can decide if switching to UNP is worthwhile. I have CBBE Installed and I LOVE it, but I also might like to try out UNP along with it's physics enabled skeleton and such. Not to mention it seems to have a bit better selection of body shapes, from very slim and nearly flat-chested, up to almost CBBE sized Boobs.

 

Anyway, if anyone wants to answer my questions, that would be awesome!

This is very small mod , but it is very useful. I have CBBE body , but some Unp armor and clothes is beautiful. When I have this mod I can wear everyrthing I want. It is not big and not complicated. One thing is bad, no bodyslide. Sorry for my english.

However, again, I don't think I'm looking for that sort of mod right now. I would rather have all one or all the other.

Armor and body mods are not bloating your savegames with scripts or anything so swapping from one to the other is just a matter of uninstalling your CBBE armors (you can keep them just remove them using NMM or something) and installing new armor mods that support UNP.

1. The main difference lies in the breast size. UNPB has double the bust size of unp at max weight.

2. There is, I'd link it to you but for some reason nexus keeps giving me 502 bad gateway error.

3. Use the aforemention UNPB then.

4. I don't use sexlab so I wouldn't know, sorry.

5. I don't use frostfall, so if the skeleton doesn't have BBP compatibility (which I assume it doesn't) you're going to have to replace it with one that does to achieve bounce. It's either one or the other.

1) UNP is the base version that was later on edited by Calyps to UNPB (for blessed) with a larger breast size so that is definitly where you will need to go if you want bigger breasts as UNP is definitly not a big breasts friendly body, a new bodyt made out of UNP was just released it is called Sevenbase, there is a thread here on LL but it is also on the front page of nexus.

2) Easiest way is to use this : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34102/?, plenty of skimpy replacers for both armors and clothes, they are not UNPB tho but totally compatible with it, Immersive Armors is also compatible UNP and there are vanilla UNP armors replacers also if you dont like it too skimpy, if skimpy is OK with you the most beautiful UNP armors IMO are from Brokefoot : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/3575696.

3) UNPB or Sevenbase for bustyness.

4) You need to use the BBP enabled version of UNPB, it comes with an installer, just choose the BBP option, new link (maybe temporary) to UNPB is here : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20227/? along with armor replacers.

5)  You need XP32 or Skullytrans Chesko compatible skeleton, XP32 comes with an installer that allows you to choose for various options like dagger on back, chesko etc.

with the bombshell option and  sg textures and xpms it's exquisite. no armor conversions yet as it's brand new but they are in the pipeline. unpb bbp armors are wearable with it with slight clipping.

The main problem you face changing over to UNP from CBBE is your desire to maintain a more substantial bust.  Despite popular belief, UNP's highest slider range has a pretty sizable chest, assuming "normal" women are your thing.  However, it still does not rival CBBE's larger sizes at all, and if CBBE size is what you want, you will be disappointed.

 

UNPB was created to fix that.  But there's another problem here - UNPB has a pitiful selection of vanilla conversions.  Most of what exists either looks awful because it's stretched over those tits, or it's skimpy, and it sounds like you don't necessarily want a full-blown skimpy replacer, just the occasional skimpy armor.

 

I haven't had good experiences with BBP on UNP.  Either it casts weird shadows on the body and I can't stand it, or it shrinks the breasts a little to accommodate the bounce and it winds up smaller than I wanted.  That said, the only things you really need to get BBP animations working (which I assume means bouncing breasts and all), all you need is a skeleton that can handle it and a mesh built to use it.  BBP meshes for UNP do exist, and if you have CBBE BBP working, you already have the skeleton, so it'll be a breeze to get it going.

 

Lastly, I'd avoid Sevenity's for a few months.  For starters it's just a UNP mesh made to look like CBBE, so you'd be better off just using CBBE what with its wider selection of armors.  But also, being brand new, it won't have any good clothing or armor options for a while, so switching to it now would be sort of pointless.

First off, THANK YOU to all of you that have replied to me in this thread. There's some great information there. For simplicity though, and since Jexsam hit closest to what I was aiming at in my original questions, I'll quote and reply to him.

Thanks a bunch for pointing that out and letting me know. My Player Character does not use the highest ranges of CBBE's bust, since, while I'm very 'interested' in modest to large bust sizes, I'm NOT looking for VERY large ones. Nice handfulls or a bit more are my thing. So, perhaps this isn't an issue at all, and I'm thinking I could probably hit my desired size for My PC with UNP.

 

Do you have any idea what the 'standard' for female NPC's is with UNP? Or how to change that if I find them too small?

I'll steer clear of UNPB then. Since I'm not looking for VERY large tits, and I would much rather have my armor look good.

My interest in BBP was more of a questioning academic sort of thing. I don't have BBP in right now and it seems rather complex for what would amount to very little in 'gain' over the long run. I just wondered if it would be easy to set up with UNP, and it doesn't sound like it, so I'll probably stay away from that as well. Aside from just wondering, I was thinking along the lines of SexLab's BBP animations. I wonder if I can use those without BBP.

I just saw Sevenity's body today, and i was thinking the same thing. It would take a long while to get everything out that would make it best for use, so for now I'll ignore that.

Well I should elaborate on UNPB a bit.  It's not all huge tits, just the upper end.  The low end of the UNPB weight slider is identical to UNP base's, so even with UNP you can get really small tits, making for a wide range of breast sizes.  This also means the UNPB armors that look bad over large tits won't actually look that terrible half the time, since the lower half of the weight slider will be fairly "normal".  It might not be a bad idea to check out (if you can find it - calyps pulled it recently but it should be easy enough to get it around LL).

 

As for the range of breast sizes, this is UNP's full range.  As you can see, it's very "natural", and I'm willing to bet that it's not entirely what you're after, since you seem to be like me - you like'em big, but not cartoon big.  I don't have any characters under 50%, personally.  Hopefully this gives you an idea of the "standard".

 

Ultimately, I don't think you'll regret changing over.  UNP's got fewer armors overall than CBBE, but is a lot better balanced between reasonable and sexy.

Thanks for explaining some more on what UNPB is and all of that. I still think that for now If I decide to try UNP, I'll try switching over to straight UNP, with some of it's mods and things. I've always loved Brokefoots, since they looked lore friendly while being skimpy. I figure that I can easily switch between UNP and CBBE if I don't like it...just disable one set of mods and enable another...won't hurt anything since I'm using mostly vanilla anyway.

 

Still....I went back and compared promos between UNP and CBBE...and there's just something...more.... 'full' about CBBE.... Might hold off on switching for now since I'm pretty satisfied with my setup. Still, I thank you for all of your help.
