Maddening MO1 "bug."

Thanks to Bethesda hopelessly ruining SkyrimSE for me, I gave up and decided to try to come back to FONV after a 7-year break.  I was using MO2 for Skyrim, so, I thought to use MO1 for FONV, even though I've never used it previously.  It's all the same to me, since I never used the experimental, none-too-stable-sounding LL version of FOMM, either.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I went to install a mod on it.  I was told to "query info."  I did.  But, even though I have my Nexus user name and password filled in under the Nexus tab and they plainly work-- I still have the mod's Nexus page open using my user name and password-- I get the error message, "Failed to request file from nexus: Host nmm.nexusmods.com not found."

It occurred to me that, perhaps, the "nmm" prefix didn't belong there; but, I have no way to affect what address gets put there.  MO1 fills that part in, itself.  How can it not find the Nexus when I'm right in it, myself?

So, what in Hell am I doing wrong?  What can I do to get this damned thing to work properly???

You should and can use Mod Organizer 2  (TWO) for Fallout New Vegas

MO1 has been discontinued because of these issues.
