how can anyone solve these version problems

So i get Anniversary Edition, v1.6.318.0.8, but skse moans about it not being the latest edition, i update to v1.6.323.0.8, now SkyUI_5_1SE wont work, update to SkyUI_5.2SE which won't run without SKSE64 2.0.4 alpha which isn't released?  As much as I'd like to run some of the mods in here, this is mental.  So, okay I'm out of patience, moved on to another game, but, for future reference, is it just this convoluted to get mods running now, or did i make a mistake starting with Anniversary Edition?

Was a mistake to start with AE edition.

You have to wait for all SKSE mods to be updated.

Why would you use 5.1? Are you on a 2018 nostalgia run?

?? SkyUI works with any SKSE release done after 2.0.4 up to 2.0.20 if you have Skyrim SE 1.5 (and AFAIK it also works with the preliminary AE releases of SKSE, but as every mod for SE 1.6/AE things are still being updated and issues are to be expected).

You should've avoid the update, keep playing on 1.5, read the requirements of each mod to find out potential incompatibilities and verify you have the proper version of everything. And btw, this isn't anything new, reading requirements and avoiding automatic updates has been the recommended thing since SE was released.
